Really spacious room!! But the shower floor was dirty and there were stains on the carpet and chairs in the rooms. The pool was also yucky and aged. Overall good place to stay, better pricing if you book closer to your stay. We pre booked ~2months before our stay and the rooms were over half what we paid a few days before we arrived.
The staff at this hotel especially the Leisure centre staff are just amazing!
The restaurant staff cannot do enough for you , breakfast was delicious and plentiful
Reception staff kind , courteous and friendly
Wonderful hotel made even better by the staff - thank you
Stayed at the voco in Leicester which was amazing and thought this would be the same unfortunately it was a slight let down as the room wasn't as clean as expected. The leisure facilities were standard not as clean needs updating and just a good clean. The changing rooms were really unbelievable to a point I didn not choose to even change in there had to leave in a wet costume to my room. Staff were friendly.
We stayed at a premium room and it was lovely.
But the air conditioning never worked and they couldn't fix it.
In this weather a must.
Let's see if we can be reimbursed.
Lovely room and the decor of the hotel was great. Great location to the NEC and other attractions. Easy access to onsite parking. The staff were helpful and polite.
Just some suggestions for improvement: the landline phone in my room was not working so I could not call reception. I ran out of hand wash in my toilet and despite asking several times it took 2 days before I was given hand wash. The safe in my room did not work, I reported this too but no one fixed it.
Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel but I wonder if it was short staffed? If requests by guests were dealt with swiftly then I would have rated this hotel 5 star and visited again, but I’m not sure if I will which is a shame.

Initial staff were really good, room extra bed was not ready upon arrival and multiple issues with the safe in the room. Telephone had been disconnected in room and did not work: issue with breakfast on departure
Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet despite some Friday and Saturday night revellers. Pillows are too thick and bouncy due to synthetic filling and if you require things like a fridge and bathrobes you probably need to upgrade to a more superior room grade but altogether, good value and good location.
My family and I had a fantastic one-night stay while attending the UK Games Expo at the NEC Birmingham. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The quality of service throughout my stay was excellent, and the food was really tasty, and delicious. The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to unwind after a busy day at the expo. This is our second stay and would highly recommend it to others visiting the area.
Staff are amazing from reception through to the spa & the restaurant
The beds are so comfortable it’s unbelievable, it’s one of the few places away from home I can sleep.
Very happy with my stay, I have stayed several times and will continue coming back.
The only thing I would say is that the disabled changing room / shower in the pool area needs a reallly good scrub, the first thing I have ever found to be a problem there. Apart from that 10/10 for everything else
