Bears Ears National Monument includes red rock, juniper forests, a high plateau, and an abundance of early human and Native American historical artifacts. The Navajo Nation, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Hopi Nation, and other tribes are extremely tied to this land.

The property is clean and well maintained. It was very close to where we needed to be. My kids liked the snacks that were provided and the friendly cat that came to visit.
We stayed here passing through to the Canyon Lands. It was just one night but it was convenient for us. Nice place and lots of room. Everything was good and I’d recommend it to others. Only downside was grass had been mowed and was left in the parking area everywhere. Also the cat was cute but under your feet as you tried to get in and out. But thanks for the stay
Clean, spacious, thoughtful details, tenant in basement
Communication was prompt and thorough. There is an additional guest fee I didn’t realize until after booking. Spacious, clean, and thoughtful details like a snack tray to welcome you, plenty of linens, all the kitchen necessities and bathroom needs you could think of. I should have read the other reviews about the tenant downstairs. There is no locked barrier between you. We were at the cabin during our entire stay, but I would have felt uncomfortable had we left. Unnerving with minor children. There was a makeshift foam barrier blocking the doorway to the basement apartment, but a locked separation would make all the difference in my opinion. It also made us self conscious of our noise level when our kids wanted to play hide and seek and just in general. One of the main reasons we choose an air b n b over a hotel room is to not have to worry about people around us, so that was a down side. Pictures seemed like it is more remote, but it’s pretty close to town and surrounded by other homes and buildings. Not a big deal for our purposes, but it’s not tucked away in a remote setting if that’s what you’re looking for. Overall a positive stay. Bathroom/lack of privacy as mentioned in other reviews was a minor inconvenience. Soaker tub was awesome after a long day of hiking in Canyonlands. Vacuum was broken, which might have contributed to why we found several goat head stickers in the rugs and carpets. Really great location for access to Canyonlands, Arches, Monument Valley, etc.
Great property with lots of amenities. Would stay again if in the area.

It was ok. The open basement (office) that’s not supposed to be be entered wasn’t very clear in the ad. I feel this should have been more explained in the ad for the cabin. There were no issues with it but it was a surprise to find out about it in the text with our entry code.
Comfortable yet couch and bedding and pillows need to be deep cleaned they all smell like sweat need a king size bed in the master queen bed is too small for two average adult's
The cabin had plenty of room for our family of seven and had everything we needed for our short stay.

On first arriving at Log Haven we were excited at the character of the property. Unfortunately that excitement did not last. We do a lot of travelling and for the majority of occasions the homes are properly set up to provide guests with a pleasurable stay in which the facilities live up to the promise. Log Haven wasn't one of them. They cheaped out. The carpets were good, the beds were ok but with incomplete walls upstairs there was no real feeling of privacy. Everything else just felt cheap or cast off from the owner's own home.Such a pity. The potential offered so much more.

The A/C wasn't cool or didn't work at all - the manager said it broke and they couldn't find anyone to fix it. The house is dated and dirty. Floors are uneven and sticky in spots. Not a pleasant stay.
Was just perfect for what we needed, although the bbqer wasn’t working well. Tried to cook some steaks and brats and one side never lit and the other never got hot enough. Had to end up cooking inside. Enjoyed the kitty, however my grandson was allergic.

We did not feel safe in this property
We paid for 3 nights but left after 1 sleepless night. There is no "apartment" in the basement - it is just an open stairwell so the person staying in the basement can access the entire house any time they want. In the morning when we got up there was a white golf tee on the top step just outside our bedroom. It was in an obvious place and we know it was not there when we went to bed. The only way it got there was someone put there in the middle of the night. We would not have heard them moving around since we had a floor fan running. It has been 48 hours since we talked to VRBO and over 3 days since we checked out. No one has contacted us about our request for refunds.
This was a cabin style house right outside the small town and felt like going to a friend's cabin to stay for a few days. It was tidy but a few small details that kept me from giving it 5 stars for cleanliness. We basically just cooked dinners and slept here. Beds were comfortable. Master bedroom has a 3/4 wall to bathroom, which is the main bathroom on that floor so light shines through at night. Kitchen has some basic pots/silverware but not much so you need to be creative if you plan on cooking. The living room and dining area were great for our party of 5 to hang out. We liked the outside house cat and it was nice to see him at the end of the day and in the morning. Best feature was the washer/dryer after a day of hiking. Location was central for venturing north and south to various hiking locations. Main floor bathroom had a shower curtain but a not a liner so that was odd to us but we just hung it out to dry after each use. They had shampoo/conditioner/body wash in shower which was nice as well. Well stocked with dish soap and cleaning supplies. Again, it's not fancy but it's comfortable for a family traveling to spend their days outside of the house.
Preston emailed me that there is a guest book for check out. We could not find it. I called and left a message that we could not find the guest book. We did not get a response. So we will check out the best we can.
Shower curtain in main level bath needs to lifted higher or shorten the shower curtain. Light over kitchen table would be nice, that area is dark. We played cards ever night, and it was dark. We had lots of room. Plenty of towels. It was clean.
Living area was large and comfortable, kitchen was decently stocked with pots, pans and dishes. As others have stated people were living in the basement with no way to secure the upstairs from the basement, but they were quiet and we never really noticed they were there.
Only negatives were neighbors' barking dogs and the location/ configuration of the bathrooms. The two bedrooms and one bathroom are on the second level with one bedroom sharing a ¾ tall wall with the bathroom. Toilet is on the partial (not all the way to the ceiling) wall that backs up to the headboard of the bed on the otherside. If you're staying with immediate family members that's not a problem, but if you want/ need some 'privacy' at night you'll need to go downstairs to the bathroom by the back door.
