This is a really lovely resort with charming, well-kept grounds, very clean rooms and terrific amenities. The heated pool, very large jacuzzi and hot sauna were terrific and very relaxing. The location is perfect, very central and easy walking to the few central amenities. Their sister property, The Tides restaurant sits overlooking/on the Bay and is a great place to eat. Try the salmon mousse appetizer during happy hour!. We stayed in room 705 which has two queen beds and a great view of the Bay. This room features a small patio which is a nice place to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine. Overall this is a pretty quiet resort and we were there over Labor Day weekend. The linens were wonderful and the beds were great! The staff are first rate and very cordial!. The only reason I did not give this property five stars is that it is really beginning to show its age. While it certainly deserves its premium rates, if you charge premier prices, then conditions inside rooms need to be impeccable. The room was very clean but ours was sorely in need of touch up painting and replacement of some aged furnishings. These are maintenance issues not housekeeping. On balance, there are signs that improvements are being made and overall it is a terrific place to stay and I look forward to returning again! Make your reservations early, this place tends to fill up quickly and with good reason! Also, Try The Bird's Cafe for coffee and lunch. It has 3 terraces and great marina views!

FYI. Food at the Tides is good but be aware that the portions are huge. Maybe sharing would be my advise. Also try to pay thru your card not thru the hotel so the charges are clear.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Tides Inn! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and every detail made the experience feel special. From the beautiful location and breathtaking views to the wonderful amenities and complimentary breakfast, everything was truly exceptional. I can’t wait to return. The fog and ocean are always a truly serene experience.

This is a charming place to stay with a huge room with great views. There was a fireplace and seating area as well. The bathroom was large and comfortable with good amenities. They left us a bottle of wine but no water. When I asked the front desk for a bottle they told me to buy it at the gas station. I ended up buying a bottle from their restaurant. The bartender Raul was a delight! Very friendly and he made a perfect cappuccino and when I asked for water, he said no problem and put it on our bill. I would recommend The Tides as a very nice place to stay. Note no air conditioning, but windows you can open and catch a nice breeze. Very nice staff.

Property is beautiful & the rooms were clean & comfortable. We were there on a hot day & there are no fans or AC in the room, which made it a bit uncomfortable ... & there's a fog horn (??) or some other type of noise that happens every 30 seconds or so, all day & night, & that is quite annoying, especially with the windows open ... but otherwise, pool & hot tub were great & dinner at the restaurant on property (not the one across the street) was truly exceptional.

Great place to stay. We were so relaxed as we had our coffee on the patio of our room. Mama deer with 2 babies were right in front of us. Room was spacious and clean. We certainly enjoyed the hot tub. So loved we could walk to our favorite restaurant, The Tide.

Beautiful location. The venue is just old and needs upgrade. And there’s is this weird noise that is coming from the outside that is all over bodega bay an actually that goes on 24x7. It’s not the hotel’s fault but it is really annoying and we couldn’t figure out what it is,

Got a last minute deal for a couple nights midweek in Oct. Lovely stay, had a patio with a beautiful view. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool area and breakfast at the restaurant across the street. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. I definitely recommend!

We loved the convenience, as the inn was within walking distance of shops and the Bodega Bay. However, the breakfast was served across the street which was a pretty good walk, especially coming back uphill to our room. Driving to the breakfast was an option, but we walked to enjoy the landscaping (wow!) and the cool weather. No air conditioning in the room, but that wasn’t a problem for us because of the cooler temperatures. The entrance to the room was on the outside of the individual buildings that held the rooms- eight townhouse type rooms in each building. We appreciated the small back porch area overlooking the pool, with landscaping for added privacy. Room included a small refrigerator. We did have to ask for more washcloths, but were quickly provided with extra towels. The room was clean and well maintained. It really was a beautiful area with IMPRESSIVE landscaping. The coastal area and scenery there was magnificent!

Check in online made the check in process seamless. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with a good view of the bay. The fireplace worked well and warmed the room right up. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable though. Neither one of us slept well. If I am paying that much for a room, I expect a comfortable bed. I have stayed at much cheaper hotels with much better beds. The shower had shampoo and conditioner but no body soap. We ate at the Tides and opted for the discounted breakfast since the continental breakfast didn’t seem very exciting, which I regret. The scrambled eggs were dry and I didn’t love the flavor of the potatoes. My partner liked his French toast. Nice property but I will never return unless they get better mattresses.

What I liked most about this place were the following: 1)Price was much more reasonable during the month of Sept 2)Very friendly, helpful and professional staff from reception to housekeeping to staff helping to carry our luggage’s up the stairs. 3) beautiful corner rooms that overlook the bodega bay and the hills behind the property. I especially loved seeing the cows and calves up close! 4) nice layout of the clean property 5) although I didn’t go into the pool or hot tub, they were both big. 6) rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was too.

The room was excellent. Comfy beds, incredible view of the bay and sunset. TV was almost non existent. We gave up and watched everything on the laptop. Hot tub was one jet but very clean. Pool looked amazing, didn't have time for a swim or sauna, next time. Reason for 4 not 5 stars was the food and lack of traditional coastal food!!! Anywhere!!! In room coffee 1 out of 5. If only there was an onsite shop where we could have bought a real coffee with real cream. We stayed Tues -Thurs, many restaurants were closed. We had dinner at the Inn at the Tides across the highway and had to drive the short distance, as our room was at the top of the hill (hence the great view). We requested a window table and were seated almost immediately. We ordered a fish filet entree and seafood tower. No claw meat, tiny piece of dungeness, a small piece of lobster, two small scallops, oysters and pink mini shrimp 1" roll smoked salmon, fish was meh and rice tasted instant. Nothing tasted freshly caught. Bread was sliced and no flavor. "Continental brkfst" was one granola, toast OR store bought croissant! What? Waitress was so rude when we didn't order and pay for full breakfast, no coffee refills. We could not find true delicious sourdough or fresh crab/shrimp takeaway cocktails, like the old days at the outdoor fish market, anywhere in-town. Jenner, Valley Ford and Sebastopol are quite the drive, but worth it for the food. Spuds chowder walk up and Pelican market deli are worth trying

3rd time staying here. Really nice, spacious rooms with a fireplace. Fairly quiet. Nice views from some rooms. Beautiful big pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Breakfast across the road is good, and lovely restaurant on the Bay too. Highly recommend
