Hotel A'mare
8/10 Good
"Comfortable and clean hotel an easy 10mins walk from Zadar old town. Rooms were spacious and had all amenities for our short stay. Staff welcoming and helpful. Really good breakfast choice and replenished often. Excellent value for the price. A couple of negatives though: 1) not particularly easy to find as hotel is surrounded by other buildings and the local area a bit run down 2) parking not the easiest if you come by car - we were lucky and managed to find a space quite close to hotel but generally street parking on first come, first served 3) water pressure can vary - was fine early morning but after breakfast water stopped for a while before returning. 4) the water and fruit juice from mixer and tasted very artificial. Overall, we were impressed with the hotel and think it deserves more than 3* but let down by the surrounding area. Would still stay again if returning."

"A lovely place with friendly staff. Very clean room and literally steps from the beach. The only thing that could have improved it would have been a kettle in the room, although they were happy to provide hot water from the kitchen when I asked. Convenient bus stop rifht outside.Would absolutely return! We hired the exiles too, fun."

"I like to start this review with a shout out to the owners, Triana and Ivan. Also to receptionist Loretta. We would have had a more difficult time if it were not for their help. Our car broke down while driving from Bosnia to Croatia and Ivan was such a big help with checking the status of the repairs. Their property is in a wonderful location. We walked everywhere and the bus stop is very close by so easy to take into town or into the city walls. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Lovely swimming pool and excellent parking space. I highly recommend staying with them if you're ever in Zadar."
