The owners, Bill and Carolyn, paid a lot of attention to detail as they created a modern oasis in the middle of bustling Central Square, Cambridge. The apartment is located on the first floor of their newly renovated home.

Just a block away from top-rated restaurants, including Little Donkey, Viale and Pagu. Also, a block away is the Central Square Theater, home to The Underground Railway Theater and The Nora Theatre Company. The Middle East is renowned for their live music entertainment.

3 grocery stores within a couple of blocks. And, of course, there are the two world-class universities - MIT and Harvard - both within walking distance or one short subway stop away.

Stop Looking-Reserve your stay!!!

Our Son stayed here while attending a MIT Beaverworks Summer Program. Carolyn was the best! Always answered our questions thoroughly with amazing detail. I hesitated to write a question because I knew she would spend a lot of her time answering our logistical inquiry about the to-dos in Boston and Cambridge! Our Son enjoyed his time there as well as his siblings and family-friends visits. A fold out cot provided a sleeping place for him during their stay. He brought a kick scooter which allowed him to get to campus in 5 minutes. This is our first experience with a VRBO and staying in the heart of a bustling area active with professionals and students. A half of a block off of Mass Ave and at the rear of the house made you think you were down a sleepy country road. We’ve already been promoting Carolyn’s Place to those we know. Thank you Carolyn!!

A perfect place to be - super zentral, tolle Wohnung, tolle Vermieter

Ideale Wohnung für einen Aufenthalt in Cambridge. Sehr zentral gelegen, ausgestattet mit allem was man sich wünscht. Sogar den kleinen Garten darf man mitbenutzen. Die Vermieterin Carolyn ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder :-)

This apartment was a perfect place to rest during a weekend of reunion festivities. In addition to a comfy bed and lovely sitting area and kitchen, we loved the thoughtful touches of chocolate for late night snacking and tea options for morning waking. Carolyn was very responsive and clearly pays attention to every detail.

Perfect

Our 3rd stay at Carolyn and Bills apartment. We plan our vacation dates as to when the apartment is available, Why look elsewhere, it has everything you need and its in the perfect location. Great garden for a morning coffee, kitchen has everything you need, enough space, comfortable, A/C for the recently hot weather and to top it all, Carolyn + Bill who are lovely people who are so helpful and friendly. When we are back in Boston we will stay here again because for us its simply perfect!

Convenient, modern and well-equipped

We had a nice stay in Cambridge, despite the frigid weather! The apartment was nice and warm, well-laid out, modern and fully equipped. Location is fabulous, right around the corner from many great restaurants and the Central "T" station to get to the rest of the city. Carolyn prepared me well for the challenge of parking a car there. After unloading our stuff, I moved the car to the garage a couple blocks away which charges $22 a day. The only reason why I don't give it a 5-star rating is the construction right outside the bedroom window that started up at 7 a.m. each weekday. We probably should have been told about it, we still would have come but it was a bit of a surprise.

Convenient, Clean, Cozy

* Well furnished kitchen: spices; utensils, cookware. * Great location. So many grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Close to the T. * Beautiful wooden floors! * Access to the washer and dryer was very much appreciated. * Construction next door included a pile driver, but they did not start until after 8am. * We were very busy, so did not miss TV too much. We could stream from the internet. But there was one evening we would have liked to just sit back and watch network TV. * The tankless hot water heater worked great for the shower, although the shower head is quite tall and difficult to direct for people 5'3" or less. * Thank you so much for providing such a lovely apartment with plenty of closet space for longer visits.

A perfect place to stay for visiting MIT. The apartment was very clean and well equipped.

The proximity to the MIT campus could not have been more convenient. It's a very easy walk to the Central T stop, which we rode to/from the airport easily. We stayed here for my daughter's graduation and easily walked back and forth to campus many times. Great restaurants and the U haul rental for moving my daughter were all walkable. We never needed a car or even an Uber. The owner was attentive to all of our needs and even took the time to send a congratulatory text to us on graduation day. Our whole experience was really great!

Everything you need

We had a comfortable stay in Cambridge in July. Our top 3 reasons to recommend: 1. The quiet air conditioning- what a relief in the heat wave ! 2. Close to everywhere- walk to stores and MBTA. Enjoy the river, icecream, weekly farmers market. 3. The thoughtfully designed spaces in and around the apartment - it is great that such a compact place can hold so much stuff.

An excellent stay in Boston

My wife, infant son, and I stayed at this location for several days. The apartment was very nice --- it was clean, well-kept up, had all the kitchen items we needed, well-lit, air-conditioned, etc. The owners (who are extremely friendly) even had chocolate bars for us! The location is also great, we were within walking distance of many restaurants, stores, and public transportation. It really was ideal in terms of placement in Cambridge. The only very minor thing: the shower is a bit tricky to get into without getting a little water on the floor. But really, this isn't a big deal and I only mention it as a point of possible improvement. So if you're heading to Boston, I highly recommend staying at this location. We would stay there again without reservation.

Lovely apartment near Central Square in Cambridge MA

We stayed 5 nights while visiting our daughter and son in law who love a few blocks away. There are few hotels in the area and they are very expensive so this was the most reasonable option. The apartment is modern, clean and comfortable. Carolyn is a great hostess and we were very comfortable and happy during our stay. We would recommend this property, particularly if you are looking to stay in this area.

Nice location in central square

A very nice apartment just steps from the red line. The apartment was very well equipped and the hosts were most helpful. The location just off Mass. Ave is a little noisy when the bars shut down.
