The ground floor room I was assigned was musty, had an extremely strong odor, and had bugs (flies and spiders) in it. Terrible night's sleep and woke up feeling physically ill with a massive headache. After the first night, I requested a change of room first thing in the morning and was told by the time I returned, it would be taken care of. There was no communication from the property during the day, and came back to find out the request had not been logged and no rooms available to switch to. I was forced to stay a second night, since the staff could not cancel the second night and issue a refund without manager authorization. Expedia did their best to help us, but there was no manager to escalate to, so no possible resolution that night.
This was actually the second bad experience we had with his hotel - we actually stayed here in 2022 and our room had a toilet seat that was peeling and yellowed! We will never book here again. Looks like others had a good experience recently, but I certainly did not.
