"I wasn’t impressed with Holiday Inn’s way of check in. At the desk everything was normal until it came time to receiving your key. Then we had to go to another location where we got the hard sell to come to their timeshare meeting. The previous owners had a similar meeting. However, there was no hard sell at the check-in desk to come. My wife and I began coming to this property in 2011 prior to Holiday Inn taking over. The last time was in 2017. The first 3 times were in the Cascade lodge. We loved that place. This time we stayed in the Terrace. Overall the place was clean. However, the tiles in the elevators were worn due to ski boots and equipment. The fan in the main room only worked one way. The chains to turn the light on and off and change fan speed were stuck. When the fan was turned on the light stayed on and it was stuck at its slowest speed. Fan direction couldn’t be changed between winter and summer. The programmable portion it the coffee pot didn’t work. We asked for another and it was the same. In the kitchen they had all the essentials, plates, silverware, pots and pans etc, there were no measuring cup/cups or spoons. The staff is very helpful. They responded quickly when we called regarding an issue we were having. In all they were the best part of our experience. This will probably be our last time coming to this resort. It needs a major refresher to be in line for the prices charged."

"In fairness, the outside was under construction & on well needed updates. We were unable to use the deck or see out, unless standing, as there was plywood against the slider. That being said, crews were working diligently to complete the roofing. Internally, small but very comfortable & cozy. Thank you, Chris for sharing you piece of Tahoe Heaven"

"This house was perfect for our family of 10, the views were amazing. The location was also perfect, we came for Celebrity Golf Tournament, it was close to the golf course and the casinos. My kids and grandkids enjoyed hiking around everyday. The kitchen & bathrooms were stocked with everything you need, and the host checked to make sure everything was going well. We would love to come back during snow season; it was located so close to the ski lifts. Great place to stay with a large group or family."

"This property has a lot of steep stairs leading to the apartment as well as inside the unit, so keep that in mind if you're traveling with elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues.The combined kitchen and living area are quite small. There were five of us, and the space felt cramped. The two bedrooms, however, were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was also well equipped but couldn't get the vent hood to work.There is no air conditioning, and we stayed during one of the hottest days. Unfortunately, the fans were not enough to keep the apartment cool, so we had to leave the patio door open for some relief. The apartment could also use some updating. The shower had heavy caulking in several areas that appeared to be covering mold.The listing clearly states that parking permits are required and that only two permits are provided. I contacted the host twice about the permits—first by email, but I never received a response, and then by phone. They were only one permit in the unit so I contacted the rental property and was told the other permit would be dropped off at the rental the following day, but it was never delivered.Overall, the apartment met our basic needs but wished the communication with the rental property was better."
