Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc.

We stayed at the Greenhead as part of our Hadrians Wall walk. Could not have found a better hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. A big shout out to Dan the lovely bartender.

Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel

Just a terrific stay! Bar and restaurant were nice and staff were exceptional, especially Charlotte! Room was nice and bathroom was beautiful. Backed onto an old church and cemetery.

Great location, great service, great food

Fantastic place, well located near Hadrians Wall, with wonderful staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Really excellent evening meal with local beers on draught. List of local ingredients. The breakfast choice was great from berry compote to full Northumberland breakfast!

Decent place.

It's a good little place to stay if, for whatever reason, you find yourself in the area. The rooms were decent and the attached restaurant served a good breakfast. I wouldn't mind staying there again.

Excellent weekend break

A gem of a hotel in a great location for Hadrians Wall, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly helpful and efficient. We would definitely stay here again when we’re in the area.

We stayed in the family room which was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal downstairs in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Breakfast was available at 7am which was perfect for us as we were intending to head out for an early hike. The location was also great for our hike and to the sites of Hadrian’s Wall.

Wonderful inn experience

This was my first stay here and was a last minute booking. I wasn’t expecting too much and although it was a very quiet night, the team were friendly and welcoming throughout. The food was delicious, room was warm and spotless and as I had to leave early before breakfast, the chef made me up a packed lunch (which I didn’t expect) to go which was superb! Thank you
