The only saving grace of this hotel is the location; it is literally steps away from the seaside. I was in Brighton for a conference and everywhere else was fully booked, so I didn't have much choice. Having read the reviews beforehand, I was already skeptical, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed my fears. I certainly won't be back.
While the room was clean, it was freezing because the heating wasn't working. Since there are no phones in the rooms, I had to walk all the way to reception to complain. I was told they had "switched off" the heating and was offered a mini electric heater instead. For the price they charge per night, this is unacceptable. Furthermore, the room layout felt "off"—the floor had a noticeable dip/slope and wasn't level. I didn't try the breakfast, but I’m glad I didn’t; walking past the restaurant counter, the food did not look nice at all. Only stay here if you are desperate.
