Locarno itself has a spa and 2 public swimming pools, the Camellia Park, a falconry, various museums, a castle, churches worth seeing and a beautiful old town. Ascona is 4 km away, Bellinzona, the capital of the canton of Ticino with its famous castles, is 16 km away, Lugano 22 km and Milan 85 km. the Locarno Film Festival, Moon and Stars or the Ascona Jazz Festival and much more ensure international fame. as WiFi is available, the flat is also well suited as a home office.
