The room was clean and very basic. We did not like the fact the there was 1 x shower/ toilet for males and one for females on each floor for something like 8 rooms and they were down the other end of the passage.

The room was clean and the staff were great, very friendly. I had a great view of the river. When booking keep in mind, this is a budget hotel. The rooms are smaller than they look in the pictures. But has a fridge and a tv. There were no kitchen facilities. The bus stops are just across the road to take you to all areas of QLD. Albion park raceway is in its backyard.

Dorm like toilets were not so clean, floor a bit slippery. Good tv shows though as they had Netflix and Prime.

Helpful staff. Across the street from the River with a great riverside walk. All the basics there - everything you need. Older building but clean.

I liked the staff. Clean room.
If you are not staying at the Marriott this is a great place to stay. Thank you. Trust me I have stayed at both before this government got into power ... .

Yes, its outdated, but definitely get what you pay for. Yes, you can hear the traffic but it's on a main road. Staff were very accommodating for my late check in. I'd stay again
You get what you pay for,
Saying that,
I found the staff great and easy to deal with,
And enjoyed my stay.
Thank You...

This is a budget property. Unexpected a shared shower and toilet, but not a toilet that was constantly leaking onto the floor. I was there for 4 nights and no one even emptied my trash. The bed was comfortable, but there was no desk or chair.
For 10 rooms there was only ONE toilet and one bath. Some of the rooms are twin or double occupieds. Rooms only had bed as furniture. TV watching will crack you neck as you had to do it from your Bed.
Noice from road to next room mornings.. walk in the corridor to continous leaking taps and grinding blower.
Aweful smell in common areas with so called 10 parking slits where 4 been blocked by broken cars adds spice.
On Good notes
Fridge in the room
Bed mattress is comfortable
Fairly clean room.
Working silent AC
Reception.. that guy has been in the position for years and treat all like the same guys who walk in with a chick for quick session. He seems to have a tempered mind that all who come to the hotel try to cheat him and get an advantage..
Location.. Fantastic just across the river.

The position is unique, being right next to Brisbane River, so that's pleasant, though I had a budget room so no view of river from room. But a river ferry into town is just there, so very handy for town.
There isn't a guaranteed single park for all rooms, but the BP servo across Cooksley St is happy to take some overflow parking apparently (which I used).
In budget twin room on 1st floor the window & thin curtain does not keep out traffic noise from busy road below, but I used earplugs & it was fine.
Aircon worked fine on cool & warm.
I like that there are separate male & female toilets and showers thankfully. I hate unisex facilities!!
The single kitchen on the ground floor needs to be prettied up a bit. And there is only a microwave & air fryer - no stove. Fridge in kitchen was large, clean, & in good condition.
A bit sad overall. Filthy thin carpets. Kitchen uses old hot plates. One dollar cold soft drinks. No laundry? Odd clientele. Shabby ambiance. Decent location. Abrupt owner/manager. Dated feel and sorta run down. Weak shower pressure and toilet filled very slowly. Street noise and thin walls/floors. TV and fridge. Okay WiFi. No bargain after all.
Please do not go to this property! Advance warning, i have bug bites from the bed and also a video of them as well as the stained sheets, or lack of! Its disgusting and filthy. Location excellent is all. Never again! In fact it should be banned from accommodation sites as it gives them a bad name for listing it! Honesty, its rated 3 stars (which we understood not to be that good) but i wouldn't give it a 1. Ring the council for inspection is my suggestion.
