Holiday
I would have given the hotel a very good rating, but the room was so hot it was very uncomfortable to be in and unable to sleep. The sun is on the room all day. Also, when the windows were open, it was noisy due to the compressor running on a portable freezer unit parked in the courtyard.
The service and the food was good.
My wife and I chose to have a little couple away time and The Litton was the perfect place to do it.
Not only is it one of the most stylish and beautifully done out country pubs I've ever had the pleasure to visit, not only was the food superb (both dinner and breakfast), not only was the decor spot on, not only was our room meticulously clean with such a well stocked minibar and every room amenity you could ever need but on top of all that the service was second to none.
Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and they all went the extra mile with a smile to make sure everything was just right.
I wish we'd caught more names because everyone was genuinely great but special mention to Olly who couldn't do enough for us.
Highly recommended people!
The Litton seemed to befuddle our GPS system but we eventually found it, and were very happy we did. It is nestled on a hill I think in so far as you have to walk down quite a few stairs to enter the bar and registration area, which consists of a laptop sitting on the end of the bar.
Very friendly and very pleasant was the gentleman who happily assured us that our three rooms had been successfully registered and he escorted us through the web of stairs and alleys to each of our rooms…and they were lovely. Spotless and comfortable and adequately spacious. He reserved us space for dinner in their dining room and bar, and our stay was absolutely lovely. Highly recommend.
Extremely dog friendly, excellent service with nothing being too much trouble. Comfortable rooms and great bar/restaurant with excellent outside area when the sun comes out!
Lovely 1 night stay at the Litton. Staff were very friendly and the food was good. Very comfortable bed but walls between the rooms are very thin!! Overall a lovely stay!!
