Fabulous stay at Michael and Karen’s beautiful home in Winslow! Perfect for families with absolutely everything we needed for a medium term stay. Michael and Karen are wonderful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Location is perfect for proximity to shops and the university.
The house has been beautifully and sensitively renovated so it still feels like a cottage from the 18th century but it has every modcon you would want - with stylish lighting, nespresso machine, Sonos everywhere, boiling/drinking water tap, great bathroom. Wonderful comfortable beds and linen- felt like we were in a hotel. Village store at end of road and lovely church and grounds nearby. Couldn’t have been better. Highly recommended.
Exceptional home, with careful attention to everything a visitor might need & more.
Very comfortable beds with quality linen & towels.
Well equipped kitchen, abundant bookshelf choices, great variety & quality of technology options if needed.
The property description is precise and very easy/quick communication with hosts for any questions.
Fantastic location, in walking distance to all day to day needs. Highly recommend to others.
Property is located in the heart of Winslow. It’s very close to the High Street for easy walking access, but we did not hear any traffic noise during our stay. Very peaceful and quiet. Parking was challenging at times, but this was to be expected. Ceilings are low, which you need to watch out for if you are tall. Stairs are. steep and narrow. This was not not a problem because it is characteristic for this period of property. House is finished to a very high standard. Our host, Michael, was very responsible to all our questions.

Liked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
I would say the overall experience with this semi detached house in Winslow is great. The host Michael is very responsive and have all the guide, document, manual well prepared. You just need to spend a bit time to study all those information.
Same like others reviews before, it is a high tech setting in the house with good IoT which can control most of the devices. The design is old and tradtiion. But the floor height is really low which I bumped my head few times when goto the basement and the toilet.
Regarding the cleanness, there's quite a lot of dust especially in those corner areas. But when we arrived we still see the rubbish from previous guest still there, one bag is outside the door, and the one Blue and Purple recycle bag hand in the garden storage. Seems like the cleaner do not perform their duty.
Just be aware that there is only one remote control for the xbox, and we spent some time communication with the host to get the password to login to play the game.
Since there is no own car park, so parking on the street is not very easy, I can still find a slot in the main street but usually it is last one close to the house.
I would still recommend this house if you would love to live in a old small town near to Milton Keynes.
The house is nicely renovated with all
the amenities we needed for our stay. The location is excellent for walking to local shops, pubs and restaurants. The check in and check out process was very easy. Parking is on the street but we never had a problem finding a space.
The property is superb. So well appointed - from fabulous Italian linens to a well stocked (with utensils) kitchen this house is very impressive. The location is also fabulous, charming village, great farm food shop. Highly recommended.
Property is in great condition having been extensively refurbished to a high standard. Little neighborhood is very cute. Didn't have a problem parking two cars on the street at night. Only point of note is the steep stairs that you will need to take care negotiating.
The home was everything we hope for and more. The location was perfect. The hosts were responsive and helpful. They had thought of every possible need and gave clear instructions. .Thank you.
Victorian house superbly modernised to a high standard. Well equipped and stocked with essential and useful items. Approachable helpful owners. They compiled a fairly comprehensive write up of useful information related to house, instructions on how to use some of the items and equipment in the house, Winslow town and surrounding places of interest to visit and recommendations as to places to dine etc. We stayed for a week and visited many interesting and beautiful places in the immediate vicinity of Winslow and others further away. A busy holiday but we all thoroughly enjoyed it and have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.
What can I say! The house is more beautiful in person that the pictures. The location is incredible for doing many things. We walked Winslow as we have family that lives there as well has took my daughter trick or treating for Halloween. Very easy to walk to store or restaurants and the street the house is on is like out of a fairytale. If you get a chance to visit this gem do so!
