Great location, clean rooms. However, as the hotel is located above a pub it is noisy and hard to sleep on Friday and Saturday nights. We could hear the pounding music which made it hard to sleep. There is no hotel common area or prescription area….. price reflects what you get.

The hotel was lovely overall, and we would return. We especially appreciated the bottle of wine and the lovely anniversary card waiting for us in the room—it was a thoughtful touch. However, the air conditioning was set far too cold and we were freezing during the night. There were also no biscuits provided with the tea and coffee. Breakfast had a reasonable selection, including scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, bread, croissants, cereal, cheese and ham, but I found it quite bland and it wasn’t really to my taste. I mistakenly booked for one person instead of two. The hotel could not add my husbands name to the booking so I had to pay an additional £20 at the hotel. Despite these small issues, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Charming & well-located property. Extremely comfortable bed & linens with small but very well appointed bathroom with excellent water pressure. A+
