The staff were all very welcoming and helpful.
The food is simply amazing.
We will definitely be back."
"Lovely rural location. Spacious nicely furnished room with views over farm. Hosts, Sarah and Richard, very pleasant and welcoming. Home cooked meals using local ingredients."
"A really nice hotel with beautifully presented room including 4 poster bed frame and period decoration. Staff were friendly and very helpful and dinner and breakfast were pleasant. Thank you for a lovely stay."
"Stunning grounds and setting, excellent food and presentation, simply the best service from staff who went above and beyond. Only downside was I couldn't pay by Amex, the first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't accept it."

"A beautiful old Dartmoor Inn in a very pretty village location. Terrific range of local ales and ciders and great food. Lovely walk in shower, but needs a corner shelf for toiletries. Paintwork needs touching up in places, but, overall, a wonderful, comgortanle plce to stay."

"Beautiful peaceful location and perfect for recharging and relaxing. The host has gone above and beyond creating a bespoke and homely haven nestled within a beautiful location shared with an abundance of wildlife. The tranquil and relaxing environment is something we will look forward to returning too. "
"AVOID. Difficult to know where to start.
This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. The actual room that was allocated to me, was situated overlooking a busy duelled road, with a wide full length window, making privacy impossible. You couldn't even go to the toilet without waving to bus passengers (the busses generally held up opposite by traffic lights. The bed mattress was extremely soft, although the pillows and duvet were reasonable. The carpet was heavily stained in multiple places, ,meaning that you couldn't take your shoes off, without picking up god knows what. My room was emptied on the second day of the stay, with the entire contents of my luggage stuck in a cupboard, requiring a housekeeping manager to drive down a release them later that night. The fire brigade were called out after another irate guest had set the alarms off, as he couldn't get into his room. That gave us a chance to converse with some overseas students from the block, who pointed out the multiple blood stain splatters from the previous weekends serious assault in flat 17, where a guest was battered senseless. In 30+ years of travel, the worst stay by a mile."
"As a family of four with 2 teens and a big dog, it's difficult to find somewhere not over priced and a big enough space for us all. We stayed in a very spacious family room. Bathroom had a big drench shower and heated towel rail. Plenty of space for our dog's big bed! Ben and the other staff were very friendly and attentive, also accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included and fantastic choice. We ate at the pub on the second night and the food really was fantastic and a good varied menu. Thanks for a great stay!"
