"My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time at Chesapeake. The room was immaculate and the view from our balcony was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was able to use fishing gear from the front office to fish the beachfront and harbor in the evenings and they have kayaks available for use as well. While I went on a fishing charter my girlfriend made use of the pool and enjoyed her day getting sun in one of the many chaise lounges along the beach. I will definitely choose the Chesapeake the next time we visit Islamorada."

"We had a wonderful stay and really loved the resort. The room and balcony were absolutely perfect. My one suggestion would be to consider making one of the two beachfront pools adults-only. There is already an adults-only pool on the property, which is a nice option, but it’s located in the middle of the resort and doesn’t offer the same relaxing beach and ocean views. With two large oceanfront pools, it seems like a great opportunity to designate one for adults who are looking for a quieter place to relax and swim. There are many couples and groups of adults who come here for a peaceful getaway and would appreciate being able to enjoy the oceanfront pool experience without kids jumping in around them or games being played nearby. Besides the busy & loud pool area, our overall experience was fantastic. It’s a beautiful property, and this small change would make it even better."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We got the family suite. The double beds were comfortable, but the sofa bed needs a new mattress. Didn’t get much sleep there, but the room was cold enough to sleep comfortably. Everything was clean. Loved how open and welcoming it was. We had a minor issue with our toilet, but staff got it fixed quickly. The area was quiet. We got to enjoy some time out in the lawn chairs. The beach is accessible, but I’m assuming the time for seaweeds is around so we didn’t get to go in the water. It is a little hard to get to restaurants, but we got food delivered to our room. I would recommend staying here for couples, but not with kids."
