"The hotel itself was excellent and I couldn’t fault it. The only reason I haven’t awarded five stars is because of the breakfast experience which came highly recommended. At £22 a head it is possibly the most expensive breakfast I’ve had so I was expecting wonders especially considering the low cost of food in the city. The first morning service was good, we were offered coffee and Prosecco and when the staff found out it was my wife’s birthday a small cake was brought to the table. The food was buffet style, I would expect for that price to order hot food individually so it would come to the table hot, rather than Luke warm from a buffet with the exception of the made to order omelette. The second day service was pretty much non existent and we heard several other guests complain. We were not shown to our table, offered coffee or Prosecco but had to flag down staff with our orders. Our table was lacking in cutlery and again we had to point this out to get it rectified. The coffee took some time to arrive and was at best tepid. There was a wide and varied selection of good quality items on the buffet but I felt that the price and the fact it is the Corinthia left it somewhat lacking, I would only rate it as an above average buffet breakfast."

"We stayed at the Continental Hotel Budapest for 4 nights during the World Ultimate Athletics Championships. From arrival to departure, the experience was consistently excellent. Staff assisted with our luggage on entry, managed an efficient check-in, and offered welcome messages along with thoughtful local advice that went beyond standard tourist information and the normal expectation of hotel staff. The breakfast, gym, pool, and restaurant all met a high standard of quality and service. The hotel is also a convenient base for exploring Budapest’s main sights, with reasonable walking distances and straightforward access to public transport. Our experience here was truly excellent and we’d not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks. All the staff here made this stay a trip to remember."
