We had a great experience at the Novotel Budapest. The rooms and property were clean and the staff very helpful. They have a good spread for breakfast. The location is great and close to public transit. If we ever come back to Budapest we will stay at the Novotel.

Breakfast was fantastic, staff had answers to all our questions. The view of parliament was also excellent. Just understand the location, driving is a bit tedious. But buses are plentiful, and the restaurants easily walkable. Quiet spot, lovely spot. Check it out, you won't regret.

Review The location of the hotel is excellent, with easy access to the Danube and public transportation. However, I was disappointed with my stay. I specifically booked a room with a Parliament view, but I did not receive the room I had booked. The room was also too small and felt cramped, and there was no iron in the room, which I would expect from a hotel of this standard. The location is definitely the biggest advantage, but overall, I was disappointed because the room did not match what I had booked.

Cute little hotel excellent for tourists. Very well located right across the river from the downtown Budapest, walking distance to the castles, several view points and the metro station to get to downtown in just few minutes. We stayed for total of 5 nights and I would say we pretty much walked to most places and it was very enjoyable even in the heat of unusually warm weather. The hotel staff seemed very well trained and were accommodating to our needs. The breakfast was add-on but the quality of it was excellent so we absolutely enjoyed it. The only questionable part was that the shower in the room didn't have a 'door', just a half-masked glass wall and it was easy to make a puddle on the bathroom floor if not careful. Overall, excellent stay.

Excellent location in front of the Parlament building. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Very clean rooms and hotel in general. One of the bar guys got mad because I asked him to put some ice and water in my bottle one minute after they closed. He agitated his arms and said something in Hungarian that I couldn’t understand. I had to apologize for bothering him.

Hotel is well located and clean, but the staff was unfriendly and not helpful. They seemed to be put off even when we were paying for additional services. Book for the views and location, but don’t expect strong hospitality.
