Gem by the Beach

We had the most delightful visit with exceptional hospitality from the lovely workers and owner. We booked 4 nights and decided to stay 2 extra as we thought we had found a slice of paradise. Incredible sunset from the restaurant. Not only was the food incredible, the room, pool and all the common grounds were beautiful kept/clean. Make sure to get the watermelon for breakfast, it was amazing with a special sauce & shredded coconut. Driver available to take on tours if want to book. Wayan was an excellent driver. Would definitely recommend.

A quiet little gem by the sea

Nice hotel very close to beach

Where else would you get a room that is maybe 3meters to pool, 3 1/2 to restaurant n 5 meters to beach. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. It’s relaxing and peaceful. The food is delicious and very resonably price. Staff friendly. We will certainly be going back. This place is a must to stay at

Har haft härliga o lugna dagar på Villa Agung i Lovina. Litet hotell med 8 rena o fina rum runt poolen. Hotellet ligger mitt på stranden som dom sköter om varje dag. Jättebra service och god mat, med bra priser serveras i restauranten ett par meter från havet. Enkelt att en morgon åka ut med båt och se den vackra soluppgången och alla delfiner. På kvällarna sitter man uppe i loungen med en bok o en drink och njuter av vågorna o ser fiskebåtarnas lanternor. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta om hotell man vill ha några lugna sköna dagar.

Great Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Agung Beach Inn. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was great to have the beach right in front of our room and to sleep to the sounds of the waves. The inn also has a beachfront restaurant so delicious food was available to us. What I liked most was the serenity of the place and how you can get away from busy life. Overall, Villa Agung Beach Inn is the perfect place for a peaceful and affordable getaway.

Just Perfect

We arrived lunch time Gus was there to meet us and offered to carry our luggage He immediately offered lots of advice and later on took my husband to town to show him where to exchange money etc. The staff were so attentive always there to help with wonderful smiles. Food was excellent the home made bread in the miring was delicious. Must not forget Norman who could not do enough for you. Driving us to town in the evenings. Getting us good deals on excursions. The hotel is a gem in Bali

Mom and Pop on the Beach

This is a nice hotel and I wouldn't want to say anything different especially for the price, On the other hand the staff was lovely and attentive and the room was spotless.there were a couple of little annoying things that would probably keep us from returning. The drain on the bathroom floor was on the opposite side of the room by the toilet so after showering, every time you go to the bathroom for anything, you get your feet wet. Wash your hands, wet feet. Use the toilet, wet feet. Not a big deal right. The other thing that bothered us was the lack of a spray hose by the toilet, only toilet paper. If you are not used to washing after going to the toilet, you won't miss it, or even notice it. In Asia though you get used to such things. Great for families though, the room was divided so that there was a space with bunk beds and a single bed. Great for families.

Slightly disappointed with location.

Genuine quiet area of lovina on beach, very small location, limited things to do on site as remote away from main Lovina area.The hotel room had good folder disclosing locations and whats happening in areas. There was no television or dvd player in room which was a bit disappointed as seemed to be on web site pictures, only tv was apparently in the main single villa room. The rest of rooms had none. room air con was smaller set up on entrance hallway above doorway, not in actual bedroom, but had great ceiling fan which kept room cool during afternoon and night. Slight mix up with room booking, double booked especially for 2nd night and paid for lower level larger family room and had to take upstairs smaller room, next night moved to another hotel along beach. The hosts Sandy and Gus tried to help out as much as possible by organising another hotel nearby for 2nd night, was a definately a cheaper location for them to replace our 2nd night booking and limited staff on site most times who understood our requirements. There was no real reception on arrival.

Schattig klein hotel

Villa Agung is een klein hotel (7 kamers). Ligging buiten Lovina. Maar ontzettend fijn hotel. Familiekamer was prima met voor ons tweeën. Eten heerlijk, vooral het zelfgebakken brood en de jam bij het ontbijt. De veranda boven het restaurant is heerlijk om te ontspannen, met als enige geluid de zee.

Nice hotel but beach area is not very nice.

The beach is black which we expected but there is lots of trash and plastic washed into the ocean by the river that runs in near the hotel. They do clean their beach but there is still a lot of trash in the water that they can not clean. Not conducive to swimming.

beach hotel with the best staff in the area

Villa Agung Beach Inn is a wonderful hotel right on the beach on the outskirts of the touristy parts of Lovina. The rooms are very bright and airy, fitted with refrigerators, air conditioners and fans. The rooms on the top floor of the building overlook the rice field and when the sun goes down and the frogs come out. Its the best place to hear the song of the frogs. The rooms on the bottom floor walk right out to the pool. The pool area has plenty of lounge chairs along with chair pads for relaxing and getting a tan. The dinning area is a large space with view of the very clean black sand beach and sea. Upstairs is addition seating for lounging with a beer or eating a meal while watching out over the sea or watching the storm clouds roll in. The staff was most friendly and very helpful. Pleasant and always going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and making me feel not only welcomed but at home. The food was reasonably priced, very tasty and were very accommodating with my dietary requirements. Not only will I say I would stay there when I return to Bali, but I did actually do that. I stayed an extra night after experiencing their excellent service and hospitality.

Quaint villa hotel on the beach front

We boooked based on previous reviews, small, quaint little place right on the sea shore. Excellent staff, friendly British owner. Nyoman is great for organising your trips and dolphin watching, beach sellers hang round hotel but are friendly. Great breakfast with homemade bread.

Best hotel owners ever!!!

Hotellet ligger väldigt avlägset. Lovina e väldigt lite turister. Stranden är inte wow. Men för att se delfiner är det underbart. Men hotellägarna Sandie och Gus är helt underbara!!! Dom gjorde verkligen vår vistelse fantastisk! Maten på hotellet är super! Personalen super!

Home away from home!!

Gus, Sandy, and Nyoman made my daughter and I feel so completely at home! We had a wonderful stay at Villa Agung, from wonderful food (breakfast included in rate and very reasonably priced and tasty dinners), truly helpful tips about travel, a connection with our wonderful driver Wayan, the beautiful and quiet beach, and Gus's kindness giving us a lift to town, our stay at Villa Agung was a wonderful experience! It was hard to leave!

Don't go! Ugh!

This place was horrid. Extremely gut-renching stench of sewer water in all of the incoming water pipes in the room sickening to the point that I got ill and wretched up my gut in vomit. Very run down property. The beach was full of trash. The food made me sick. And the place was under renovations with loud banging, pounding and construction noise the entire time. It was the most aweful place I stayed in Bali, or for that matter, in the world.

Friendly little hotel right at the beach

We stayed at Villa Agung for 3 days last week and has a very pleasant time. The owner Gus is super friendly helpful and so is the staff. The hotel is a little outside Lovina but you can easily catch a local bus into town or the hotel arranges for you to be dropped in town. We stayed in the family room, which is great with kids as it has a bunk bed. Furniture are a bit dated, but everything is clean. We had a great time there.

Pire expérience à Bali. Resort d'une autre époque. Restaurant trop cher et de mauvaise qualité. Chambre sale et infestée de bestioles. Internet non fonctionnel. Plage couverte de déchets et remplie de vendeurs ambulants et de chiens agressifs. Hôtel loin de tout. Nous avons quitté après la première nuit même di nous avions une réservation pour 3 nuits. Ce fût notre pire expérience à Bali.
