"This historic hotel has spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The beds were two full size beds and the bathroom looked a bit outdated. Everything was clean. My only complaint is that there were lady’s of the night congregated by the elevators offering their services. I feel that they should have better security."

"I booked this hotel for my husband, taking our son to a Laker’s game for his birthday. I knew there wasn’t much time between their flight landing and tip off, so I booked this hotel because of its convenient location. They arrived for check in and were given a key, when to room to drop bags- key didn’t work. Went down to front desk, rekeyed card, back up to room, still didn’t work. Back downstairs, told not to put key by phone- which he hadn’t- back up to room, didn’t work. Back downstairs, rekeyed….now running late to game….key worked, AND THERE WAS A COUPLE IN THE ROOM. They were assigned same room number. Back downstairs AGAIN….they have to find a new room, finally get a new room, head to game and had missed first quarter. The next morning my husband went to front desk to complain, and was given a bottle of water for the inconvenience. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE"

"I was there to sleep but the hotel’s surprisingly nice…I wasn’t sure about staying downtown but it was lively and there’s a good Italian place called Louie’s across the street. Everything in my room worked and I was comfortable. My flight left LAX at 6:30 AM and I stayed at the Per La because I don’t like airport hotels. The ride from Per La to LAX was less than 20 minutes. "

"The room itself was great; however, one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the pool and jacuzzi amenities. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was closed for the duration of our stay, and this was never communicated to us at check-in. Additionally, although check-in was listed as after 4:00 PM and we were told our room would be ready, we did not receive access until after 5:00 PM. We were also not provided with basic information, such as where the pool was located, and only found out by asking a staff member in passing. The check-in agent was not very welcoming and appeared disengaged. We initially gave the benefit of the doubt, assuming it may have been an off day; however, during check-out, the same lack of customer service was evident. When we inquired about possible compensation due to the jacuzzi being unavailable and not disclosed, we were told there was nothing that could be done and no one else we could speak with. Overall, the lack of communication and customer service was disappointing and impacted our experience."

"Could not get key card to rooms because machines were down. Tried to check in at 3:30 pm before going to dodger stadium and could not check into room or get bags to room or even freshen up before going out. I did not return till 12:30 am. I told the check in desk when they asked how my trip was. Paid over 200 for night to just sleep and shower in the morning."
