"Check in was great. Our room was on the first floor. It smelled a little musty even after the ac was on. We never did clear the smell. The room deodorizer by the front desk was over powering . I guess with Virginia humidity it’s difficult to dry the inside and be mildew free. Breakfast was ok. The cinnamon rolls were great. I had oatmeal every morning, but didn’t see any variance in the hot selections."

"This property was adequate for our stay. The 4th bedroom wasn't pictured so ended up being smaller than expected but it worked. The ensuite bathroom was tiny, so my elderly in-laws had a hard time navigating the sink and toilet being so close together. That room also had a 2 step difference from the living area but it was a better option than sending them up a full flight of steps upstairs. I had looked at lots of ratings before booking this property but we arrived to find that the property was in the middle of a remodel so those reviews didn't matter. The property was missing a lot of things that we had to ask to have brought back to make it work, it hadn't been fully cleaned before arrival and I had to ask for check-in information as it wasn't provided automatically at 24 hours before arrival. It created a rough start to our vacation. All that said, it had lots of hangers and space to unpack, black out curtains in each room, hooks to hang towels or jackets on. Beds were comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets for cuddling on the couch for a movie. Nice grill and outdoor patio (although it needs more chairs). Quiet neighborhood with lots of friendly dog walkers that will stop and talk to you if you are on the front porch."

"A family member was in the hospital unexpectedly so we spent a night at this hotel. We arrived after midnight (which I called to tell them we would be coming in that late) and no one was there to give us a key. There were a few people standing outside in the rain calling and knocking and no one ever came to the front desk. We had to wake up our family member to get into the room. The next day I called the front desk three times and never had anyone pick up, although they did ring me back a short time later. The beds were ok, but the bathroom was pretty awful. The sink was completely clogged. The shower/tub were very worn out and may have been clean but because of the worn areas looked suspect. I would not stay here again."
