"Our stay at the same hotel last week was disappointing and reflected in our review for that stay. The main problem centred around us having pre-paid for breakfast but the hotel staff on the day saying that the paid for breakfast was not on their system so refused to serve us. Having returned for this business related set of stays, the hotel staff still maintained that our booking was not showing the pre-paid breakfast but as this was proved otherwise previously, they served us this time anyway. There is obviously still a glitch that is stopping the hotel from accurately seeing the Hotels.com booking details fully so not ideal. We have not had this problem before from Hotels.com or Holiday Inn but there it is. "

"What a perfect place to stay. I was visiting my son in Bristol as he’s in uni and wanted a little place to stay just outside of the city and this was just perfect. Gorgeous surroundings and the room its self was so lovely and clean and had everything you would need for an overnight stay. Loved the breakfast that was left and impressed they offered gluten free options ….i did take the pastries back for my husband to eat as didn’t want them to go to waste lol….i would definitely use this again if we fly out of Bristol on holiday as super close the airport too. Thank you "

"Nice clean room, tv in room signal not good at times, staff friendly , good choice of food available both evening meal and breakfast. A small hiccup with food order in the evening but rectified when paid for."

"Great break with family for a Christmas getaway...Cheddar Woods is in a great location and high on the hill, like we were, the views were great - when it wasn't misty.Food was lovely in the restaurant although there was limited seating for large parties who weren't dining.Staff we encountered were all friendly."

"Kitchen well equipped and easy to prepare food. Washer dryer is useful although not mentioned on the website. Freezer was without shelves for some reason.. mentioned to staff. Some damp in the back bedroom… cold spell, heating and no wall insulation likely to be cause.Heating not working when arrived… called reception and it was resolved in a few minutes with a maintenance/site attendant sent to help immediately. Bedding and pillows very comfortable. Great accommodation all round."
