Experience the ultimate family getaway at Starr Cottage - a stunning 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom retreat featuring a private swimming pool and lush garden, situated just moments from Byron Bay's vibrant centre. Despite its central location, this tranquil haven borders a peaceful reserve and bike track, offering the perfect balance of convenience and serenity.

Recently transformed through meticulous renovation, Starr Cottage showcases its heritage charm with polished hardwood timber floors, elegant vertical panelling and classic sash windows, complemented by designer lighting and tropical cane ceiling fans. The contemporary kitchen and dining area flows seamlessly into an open-plan living space, which extends to a secluded outdoor entertaining zone. Here, lush tropical gardens framed by sandstone surround a child-friendly lawn, stylish swimming pool, and dedicated BBQ and dining area.

Please note, construction is taking place nearby the property, and noise levels may vary during works. Please consider these works when booking and feel free to discuss with our helpful team so we can make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Living, Dining & Cooking:

The inviting lounge area features a luxurious 5-seater L-shaped sofa positioned opposite a wall-mounted Smart TV – ideal for evening relaxation or children's entertainment. Bordered by the kitchen and dining space, the lounge opens through bi-fold glass doors to reveal the private garden oasis.

The spacious, well-equipped kitchen boasts premium granite benchtops and European appliances, including a 4-burner gas cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, and double refrigerator. The air-conditioned dining area connects effortlessly to the kitchen, creating a comfortable environment for shared meals.

Sleeping:

Starr Cottage features a magnificent loft-style master retreat on the upper level with soaring vaulted ceilings and natural rattan flooring. The queen bed sits atop a custom-built platform, complemented by a charming dormer window, timber-panelled ensuite, dedicated walk-in wardrobe, reverse cycle air conditioning, and ceiling fan. A double sofa bed can be added to the master upon request, nestled in its own sun-filled annexe overlooking the pool and gardens.

The three additional guest bedrooms are positioned along the main corridor on the ground floor. These rooms offer a double bed and 4 king single beds respectively, each equipped with ceiling fans for summer comfort.

- Master Bedroom: Queen bed on elevated platform with ensuite, ceiling fan, reverse cycle air conditioning, and walk-in wardrobe. Double sofa bed (available upon request) in separate annexe.

Starr Cottage offers 2 well-appointed bathrooms distributed across both levels. The master bedroom's charming ensuite features a walk-in shower, toilet and single vanity – all nestled beneath the sloping roofline. Downstairs, the shared bathroom includes a spacious walk-in shower, luxurious in-ground bath and single vanity, with a separate toilet conveniently located nearby.

When you're not exploring the nearby beaches, cool off in the designer-tiled plunge pool with its elegant waterfall feature. The adjoining outdoor entertainment zone includes a BBQ, comfortable seating and dining furniture, creating the perfect space for year-round relaxation.

Close enough to the action yet wonderfully secluded, Starr Cottage enjoys an ideal position with easy access to all of Byron Bay's premier attractions. The beautiful Belongil Beach is just a leisurely 10-minute walk from the property, while the iconic Main Beach can be reached in approximately 15 minutes on foot. With downtown Byron Bay practically on your doorstep, you'll enjoy endless shopping, dining and entertainment options. Starr Cottage also borders a natural reserve which connects to a scenic walking and cycling path.

Great location and lovely house

This house is in a great, in a tucked away little corner but still close to everything. It was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we could want. Property managers were fantastic and super easy to deal with. The only negative was the extremely noisy construction directly across the street. The teenagers didn’t cope with all the banging and crashing starting at 6:30am every day. When that’s done, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!
