the location was close to everything.

"One word that sums up Reids is ‘Classy’. From check in to check out the attention to detail is impressive. The facilities are top notch - we enjoyed the tennis courts and the salt water pool. "Excellent smallish and stylish hotel, boutique like but not pretentious. Very Helpful, friendly staff. Quiet street but 2 min walk into tourist spots.
Rooms were good, gym is a bit tired, downstairs swimming is small but the spa, sauna and rooftop pool and sun area are really great.
Excellent Fine dining in restaurant with very good breakfast.
Would definitely return. "

Staff couldn't do enough and were super helpful and friendly.
Room was modern, clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast buffet was fresh and plenty of it.
Good location just back from the seafront and promenade, and easy walking distance to shops and Old Town.
The staff pointed me towards their secure storage room to jeep my mountain bike safe during the stay and avoid using my room.
A great visit and I must say that I was really comfortable...

"Very friendly welcome and was also upgraded to a superior sea view room, which was clean and well-equipped, with a kitchen. Location was perfect at the quiet end of the front and close to the cable car station to Monte. Car parking in the basement was very handy and leaving it there after checkout was no problem. Breakfast was very pleasant and we also had a drink in the Captain’s bar outside later, again excellent service and a nice ambience. Would definitely book here again if we were staying...

"The location is excellent for both the town and restaurants around the Lido area. Everything went well and we enjoyed the hotel. After 5 visits to Funchal over the last 5 years it was probably the best that we have stayed at. The hotel is quite old, but well maintained. It is starting to show its age, with small defects, that didn’t affect the stay but are noticeable. The room had a kitchenette which was very useful."
