"I recognize that Hanksville is central to every where and close to no where. I am amazed that there are any places to stay in this small town. When I visited I usually say at the Whispering Sands Hotel. From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much. However, the rooms have been remodel and are very good. It has a good set of TV channels and the Internet is really fast. The rooms are clean and well kept. What I like is there is a desk and chair there where I can set up and use my laptop. The area is very quiet and there is an excellent burger place next door. The burger place claims to have world famous shakes, they are good. They have a small pack-n-do breakfast which I appreciate. However, there is no pool or exercise room. When I return to Hanksville, I plan to stay at this hotel."

"Very Clean and luxurious room! Had what we needed and very cozy location! Only thing a bit of a problem was, even though the location is very silent and dark, the resort lights and lights on other’s door were too bright at night for NighSky view. We had to drive a bit away from resort for getting a total dark sky!"

"Parking, staff, ac, clean room and nice towels. In addition, the room was large, had a little kitchen a table with 2 chairs, and a front porch. It was very comfortable."

"Easy check in to this spacious home in Hanksville. This clean, well appointed house was a great launch pad to a number of local State parks adn BLM land. With great spots for coffee and dining nearby, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"We got in late after hiking all day, and even though it was a journey through some back roads, the host’s instructions and Google maps got us there with no problems. The wagon was all lit up with fun lights and it was a welcome sight. We slept well with a cool breeze through the wagon and a comfy bed. Such a fun, unique, and nice place to crash for the night!"
