Hotel is located at 7th floor, lift only reached level 6. Need to bring up/down luggage. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple and yummy. The hotel is just blocks away from the crowded downtown Cairo.

The hostel opened a few years ago, so it was very clean, and the staff were all very nice and helpful, so we had a wonderful time there. Our children loved the common space and spent a lot of time there, feeling at home. Although my flight back home was at night, the staff helped us even after we checked out. Highly recommended for your stay in Cairo!

I'm Japanese. It's my first time in Egypt. It was clean, there were no insects, and it was a very good hotel for the price. The people at the hotel are also very kind, so I highly recommend it. It was a little confusing because you can't get to the hotel lobby unless you take the elevator to the top floor. Baths and toilets are shared.

Great place to experience Egyptian hospitality

It was really nice staying at Champollion Hostel. The family(it seems they were a family) who runs the business was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. It was located at the very centre of the city - I could walk around the central area for shopping and eating out. And i felt super safe as there was police right in front of the hostel as well as around the city centre. The room was clean with basic furniture - a bed, a clothes rack, a bedside table and a private bathroom. I could also experience a 150 year old lift - a super adorable kitten greeted me when I got to the ground floor almost every morning. I would recommend Champollion Hostel to those who like warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere and want to stay at the very heart of the city.
