Excellent stay and location.

Perfect location and very comfortable room adjoining the restaurant. Freshly cooked breakfast , very friendly staff and very helpful as we asked for an early check and everything was ready on our arrival.

Lovely Room

Lovely room, modern, clean and comfortable bed with excellent shower. Not too much clothes hanging / storage area but no problem for a short stay.

An excellent, comfortable, well appointed and clean Motel style room attached to a country pub on the outskirts of Cambridge. We’ll priced with easy access to the city centre.

Quick overnight

The hotel was really quite nice although the front door would not lock so when we went out for dinner we had to load all our stuff back in the car, a bit poor when you consider the hotel must have known this.

The room were fine clean and good facilities but everything is remote. Your room is unlocked and the key left in the room for you and when you leave you leave the room open. It is quite impersonnal.

Room was great, very clean. Only downside is that restuarant is closed apart from Thurs, Fri and Sat. Was unable to get an evening meal or breakfast.

The "Hotel/Restaurant" was unfortunately closed while i was there so didn't see anyone, but it satisfied my need for a comfortable and safe bed for the night. Quaint is how i would describe it.

Weekend stay

Absolutely fantastic place and excellent value for money. Breakfast was lovely, the only downside was the unavailabilty of evening food. The restaurant is clearly very popular and fully booked so no room for staying guests or provision of food in the bar or room.

Room nice but Restaurant closed for numerous days

The room was very nice. On arrival though had to ring property to find out how to get in room. An email had been sent but I hadn't checked my account. This is when I find out that restaurant was closed for the period of my visit. This also meant no breakfast available. This was not mentioned when booking. Advert says breakfast available pay at property. Two night stay. Room not inspected after first night. The Plough pub is a small walk down the road and serves good food.

Amazing service

The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they even called and booked us a table for dinner at another restaurant because they were full. Couldn’t fault it at all

We loved the position of our room behind the pub. Very quiet. Used buses nearby to visit Cambridge Room superb but, unfortunately, our 2 nights where the coldest so far this year, and the minimal central heating didn't work well and very noisy .

Weekend away

Our wedding anniversary weekend away was made wonderful by staying at this fantastic place. The welcome was superb and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to cater for my dairy free diet and ensured that I was aware of the meals to suit from their menu. Compliments to the chef!!! The meals were outstanding. The best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be staying there again and would not hesitate to recommend it. The grounds have a well looked after garden where you can sit outside with a drink and enjoy the sunshine. Such a pleasure to be there. Can’t wait to rebook.
