Location was amazing, beach was beautiful. Security always around, adults pool nice aswel. If the updated the resort and had better room service it could be a 3.5. Food wasn’t good so recommend not all inclusive unless you’re a big drinker. A lot of restaurants and shopping very close.

I came with my family. This hotel had what we needed: great location, private beach with benches and shades, nice pool for the young ones, good food and clean rooms. For the price we paid, Solymar met my expectations and my style. No internet or cable in the rooms but we just came to the rooms to sleep! Good place for a family with an average budget who wants to spend money in the tours rather than in a fancy hotel. Very kind and efficient staff!

Property- Please upgrade televisions from 32 inch units with better in room reception and provide internet in the rooms... I understand your a budget hotel and dont have extra money to upgrade but clear television receptions and internet access are very important for relaxation. The property is very situated with excellent beach front. Sadly, sargasso was an issue as the tides brought it in, it wasnt cleaned up from the water line, and then taken back out to sea with the high tide. Food was plentiful and the bartenders were friendly. Pina coladas were terrible, too much reliance on mixer instead of fresh ingredients. The air conditioning in the room was strong and the pool was relatively clean. The rooms were spacious but no blankets were included in the room. Hot water was plentiful for showers. The all inclusive food plan was good and the cooking was home style. Overall good value for the money, I would recommend to families on a budget...

My family and I had a great time here. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it has what we were looking for: great location, private beach, clean rooms, good food ( very Mexican style), nice pool for the young ones, and friendly staff. What we saved on this hotel, we spent it on tours! It’s a good choice for practical and non picky people. If you’re looking for a hotel with the basics, this will meet your expectations. First of all this is not even an all inclusive. One bar, one restaurant, one pool.. the pool bar closes early.. u only have inclusive on selected drinks such as draft beers and white rum, anything else u have to pay for.. foot selection was horrible, imagine being at An all inclusive and still have to Uber Eats daily.. lunch menu can tuna as a meat.. no options. The rooms were clean but towels weren’t replaced, sheets weren’t changed for the 4 nights we stayed. The items in the rooms were old, rusty and outdated. No Internet in the rooms.. The staff were not as friendly nor helpful, we were threatened by the security, they wanted to call police for us, just becaz we spoke up for our rights.. and I can go on and on… no map to even learn the surroundings.. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.. it’s not a reflection what is being displayed online. They should be sued for false as advertisement. Worse hotel I have been to.

Do not stay here. The hotel rooms are in dire need of repair and upkeep and amenities. They only provided one towel, no washcloths or hand towels. No Kleenex or hairdryer. The door did not lock securely. No blanket, only a top sheet even though we asked twice. The staff is hardworking and the beach is beautiful.

The staff was great! The concierge Israel did such a good job that i gave 3 stars instead of 2. The place is old, and all the bars are closed down except the beach bar. Closed poolside bar and main bar is closed. All inclusive is not a true statement for this place. Its more like the cheapest option at the one place not shut down is their version of all inclusive. Laundry service pretended to be included, but after it was cleaned i got charged $100. The resort doesn't treat it's staff well either.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place needs improvement. The room had roaches, which was unacceptable. When I reported it, the front desk told me to follow up with cleaning staff myself. No hair dryer (you have to ask), no mini fridge, very noisy AC, and old patio furniture. Staff seemed unprepared, and there’s little to no management. Check-in was confusing and nothing was explained. The kitchen and coffee area are very basic. Positives: the food is tasty, the beach is beautiful, and the beach bar is nice (though limited menu and opens late). Be aware the ocean is rough and not always safe for swimming. Also, if you plan to rent a car, be cautious rental cars seem to be targeted, so Uber may be a better option. Overall, great location but poor cleanliness and service.

We did not like the hotel, it needs a lot of work. We actually left the next day and no one offered a refund. We were not able to sleep due to a lot of noise, bathroom did not have shower curtain, water everywhere. We had to ask for towels, blankets and pillows. It was wasted of the money and time. It is the little things that knocked them down. Not having towels for hours. A toilet seat and shower curtain that were too short. A faucet knob that didn't work and a TV that was circa 2005. Unfixed holes in the walls and little mold spots. It was clean and the room was decent. The staff were also very accommodation.
