Great stay in Canggu

Great location in the middle of Canggu and large, stylish room, free water. Staff were very helpful. Main downside was that breakfast was not included and that opposite the hotel there is a bar which keeps playing music until midnight.

A GEM OF CANGGU!

SO HAPPY we decided to give The Slow a try! Location is absolutely perfect - one of the best parts of Canggu to stay at (and trust us, because we are in Bali more than 4 times a year for the past 11 years). But most importantly is how AMAZING the staff are, especially Wulan. She helped us with SO MUCH throughout our stay, and always with a smile and a cheery attitude. Do note though, there are no elevators and no TV in the room, butโ€ฆsmall shortcomings compared to the great location and the excellent treatment + service youโ€™ll get. Definitely recommend!

Noisy, noisy, noisy

So noisy that I left early, not at all relaxing. Motorbike noise down both sides of the hotel, music pumping through the walls. The rooms with pools are adjacent to roads so instead of a tranquil space, they feel exposed to traffic noise at all hours.

Absolutely incredible hotel with beautiful staff and an amazing restaurant! The pool doesnโ€™t get too much sun during the day but really close to the beach and the lawn to chill in the sun by the pool :)

The Slow is absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail in the design of the hotel is truly amazing! The staff is always very nice and helpful! They will give you recommendations at any time! Music is great, and room is so beautiful that you donโ€™t feel bad spending extra time in it! It is a bit noisy to sleep but I think thatโ€™s the case for any and every hotel in Canggu. Area is very easy to get around quickly without getting lost. Lots of great restaurants nearby!

We thought The Slow was about quiet and relaxation. The decor and size of the suite is great, loved it. But itโ€™s not quiet. We were there on a Saturday night and there was DJ playing in the bar til 11am heard clearly from our room. We were woken early by bikes, voices in the side driveway. Itโ€™s right on the main road which is good for walking to the beach, restaurants etc. Not sure why they have no TV or radio in the rooms, just their Chanel of tunes which wonโ€™t be loved by everyone. The pool was lovely in our suite but freezing cold so we didnโ€™t use it as much as we would have liked. We also found the bed uncomfortable. Overall, itโ€™s not what we expected.

Absolutely loved our room with the plunge pool. The staff were very accommodating and they make the effort to familiarize with guests names and even taught us how to ride the scoopy. Heart warming service from them. But just wanted to nit pick on some areas during our stay-(1) the shower area could have better drainage/ curbs to prevent water from flowing out of the area. Given the floor type, it gets a bit slippery. (2) The sound-proofing is not that great. As they have their own bar and restaurant, our room was the nearest to it. Hence we could head people talking and walking around. Nonetheless, would definitely stay here again.

The decor of the hotel was really really cool and chic - simple but modern while maintaining elements of island vibes. The staff were really warm and friendly, and always happy to help where they can. The restaurant at the hotel was really nice, although a tad on the pricey-side for Bali, but still reasonable. Definitely worth checking!

Great stay at the Slow

The Slow staff were amazing and made the stay that much better. As the hotel only has 12 rooms they all know you personally by name and do anything they can to make your stay better. We stayed in both the regular suite room and room with a pool. Would definitely recommend staying here if in Canggu.

Great vibe and altogether a very cool space in a good location. I stayed in a pool suite, Room 2 - loved the design and furnishings. Pool area doesn't get a lot of sun which suits some but I would have liked to at least have the option for a bit more (without having to go to the beach!). Loved the furnishings and artwork. Food is good but there are many good food options in Canggu (and nearby Seminyak), and I found the service to be lacking. Either overly attentive or I'd have to flag someone down. I think there are better breakfast/brunch options around, and at dinner I felt like I was being hurried.
