Holiday in Carcassonne

The property is well located in lovely city. Easy access on foot to all the sights of this historic city and good selection of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor with no lift - at the time of use the stairwell was damaged between floors 1&2. The apartment is quite small and quite cramped and only just big enough for 2 people. The balcony is nice. There were a few issues that have been reported in previous reviews and assured were repaired but were not. There were several repeated instructions received prior to arrival. Limited kitchen equipment for cooking/ eating but washing machine good. TV remote not functional and no other controls so TV could not be used during stay. Free and paid parking during stay in early October was readily available in street nearby during stay.

My worst accommodations in 40 years of European travel

A dump. Shabby furniture. No towels. Smelled of mildew. I would never recommend this listing to anyone and it makes me reevaluate whether to use VRBO in the future.

Le studio correspondait très bien à nos besoins et nous y avons passé un très bon séjour. Le studio était globalement propre et soigné, même si le sol aurait mérité un nettoyage plus approfondi. Les prix sont raisonnables au regard des prestations proposées. La position centrale, l’aménagement, l’air conditionné et la terrasse sont de véritables atouts qui rendent le logement très agréable. Le Wi‑Fi était de très bonne qualité, ce qui a été un vrai plus.Les informations pour accéder au logement et récupérer la clé sont extrêmement claires ; je n’ai que rarement vu un niveau de précision aussi élevé. Un petit bémol toutefois : une des portes donnant sur le balcon ne peut pas être ouverte. Par ailleurs, la télévision semblait avoir été reconfigurée par un précédent locataire : Netflix n’était disponible qu’en espagnol et la plupart des chaînes numériques étaient en version originale. Cela ne nous a pas beaucoup gênés, compte tenu du temps et de l’environnement, et ce n’est pas quelque chose que le propriétaire pouvait facilement anticiper.Un autre point très positif est l’accès aux transports en commun et aux services de première nécessité : boulangerie et épicerie se trouvent juste de l’autre côté de la rue. En résumé, un merveilleux séjour avec quelques points d’amélioration possibles. Je pourrais, personnellement, relouer ce studio sans hésiter.

Bel appartement mais ...

Nous avons passé une belle semaine à Carcassonne. L'appartement est situé à la limite de la bastide Saint Louis, en plein centre et à dix minutes à pied de la gare. Nous avons bien profité du balcon, même s'il y a de la circulation sur l'avenue. L'appartement correspond à l'annonce, très propre et très joliment décoré. Les petits bémols concernent de petits travaux à réaliser : deux prises électriques non fixées au mur dont une près du sol (dangereux pour les enfants et les animaux), pas de bonde dans la baignoire, les tiroirs du meuble de la salle de bain très branlants. Malgré ces petites réserves, nous sommes satisfaits de notre semaine.
