Superb location with wonderful views and very peaceful.
Superb location with wonderful views and very peaceful. Lovely walks from the log cabin down to Tintern and in the nearby area, including Offa's Dyke. Chepstow and Monmouth nearby for shops and cafe's. Scored lower for comfort as the leather settee was uncomfortable. If there had been 4 people staying the settee would have been a little too cosy for 3 people and the 4th person would be on one of the plastic dining chairs. Dining chairs not as shown in the photo on the cottages.com website. A couple of armchairs are required please. Also, no round table outside, just a teddy bear picnic table. The hot tub was excellent. We were told that it would automatically switch off after use. It didn't! You need to actually press the button to turn it off otherwise it continues to run at various times throughout the night.

The location is amazing and the lodge is lovely.
The location is amazing and the lodge is lovely. The only complaint we had was the shower in the main bathroom goes hot and cold, but other than that I would thoroughly recommend staying here

Fantastic views lovely and rural.
Fantastic views lovely and rural. Peaceful and quiet. Only wish we had more info on the barbecue, was told they had one. But they didn't, and we couldn't get hold of any disposable ones. So no barbecue. . Was asked to clean up pet hair at end of stay, (fair enough) but hoover bag was full so hoover not at full power. Otherwise great stay, would certainly stay again. Also could of had better seating outside.

Brilliant place to visit! It was our second visit this year, hot tub could do with sorting as only seems a couple of jets work and needs a little more detail to the cleaning (bathroom) can’t wait to book our visit next year!
Excellent location, quiet and comfortable. Perfect escape. Hot tub added bonus after a days walking. Would definately book again!

What a view !so beautifully breathtaking !We had a fantastic time relaxing in this amazing, peaceful location. Kids and dogs loved the garden although not fully enclosed as we were hoping for . Good for bigger dogs but our smaller dog kept escaping which was annoying .lots of great walks and Tintern abbey was fab.enjoyed every minute we were sad to leave

The lodge is in a wonderful location with stunning views all round the property.
The lodge is in a wonderful location with stunning views all round the property. We met the owners on arrival and after been shown the way to the lodge (it is fairly isolated, but you only need to be shown the route once). A quick run through all the amenities and from that point we did not see the owners again as they left us to get on with our holiday.
It was a quick ten minute journey into Tintern and even quicker to the village shop at Brockweir, they sell most things you may need and have a very nice Café for afternoon tea. Twenty minutes into Monmouth which is a lovely town. We ate every eventing at the Wye Valley Hotel, great menu well cooked food and wonderful friendly service. They also allow well behaved dogs.
Wonderful holiday, we will be returning to Cider Mill Lodge.

Great location for an escape from reality break.
Great location for an escape from reality break. The showers are both terrible but everything else was lovely. Bit of a trek to a supermarket but that is to be expected in a true countryside escape. Hot tub under the stars to ease the aches of the countryside walking is the perfect end to each day.
