This was ok for a last minute stop but the room was so sensitive to noise. Could hear every movement and sound around the house. Also the mattress had pilling so bad you could feel it through the fitted sheet. Made me so itchy I didn’t sleep very much at all. For a guest house that looked so pleasing, it was below average.

No en-suite. Toilets and showers adjacent to our room which meant woken up several times during night as other guests used loo !! Expensive for what you get.

What a shock the photo’s were wonderful in reality totally different.the lady had not changed her address so was sent to the previous address, no parking only on the road outside, the lady answered the door with her blouse inside out which was disconcerting had to share a bathroom with others, no breakfast, had to use the mirror on the hall, the blinds on the window were slated so let in the street light as we were in the “ old sitting room”. A note left in the room you could use for eating had 2 notes to contact people in case of emergency , after I was in there the lady said do we need anything else as she was off. So we never saw her again.

Mattress on single bed was noisy. Whether springs had gone I don't know. No curtains in front downstairs room only blinds which lead to some light pollution from street lamps. Host very pleasant.

A trip in time!

Didn’t realise it was a shared bathroom when booking. Only 1 night, so o.k. Check in was quick, everything clearly explained. Was a step down into kitchen, step up into dining area, may need some danger tape on it as I tripped going back in and smashed my spectacles. Not good at start of holiday. Room spacious and warm. Check out, just leave key in room, close door. Easy walk to shops, depending on what you want..
