"A Spectacular Stay at Barceló Bávaro Palace — Made Unforgettable by Brandol Ortega This is our ninth trip to the Dominican Republic, and we’ve stayed at quite a few resorts over the years — some better than others — but we always find ourselves coming back to this beautiful country. Our first visit to Barceló was 13–14 years ago, and it holds a special place in our hearts for good reason. This trip, we came with family and friends, and we can honestly say everything has been wonderful. The resort delivers on every front — the atmosphere, the amenities, the food — it’s the kind of place that makes you never want to leave. But the person who truly elevated our stay to something extraordinary is Brandol Ortega. Without question, the best host we have ever had — not just at Barceló, but across all nine of our Dominican Republic trips combined. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care for our group made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived.
