"Facility is very nice but showing its age in some areas. Understand that this section will be updated next as the original section is undergoing renovations now. Beach and pool activities are good, staff is excellent and attentive. We cannot give 5 stars as we had bugs in our room the entire time and this was not adequately addressed although we did complain on several occasions. Room itself was spacious and well laid out."

"The staff here were the nicest people ever!!! From bartenders to servers to front desk and everyone in between. Honestly if we come back to the DR, I won’t stay anywhere else. The resort is beautiful, the room was great and the food delicious."

"The renovations to the resort were great. Everything seemed much brighter than the last 2 times we stayed there. My wife and I always had a good meal at the buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner). As for the a la carte restaurants, the Steakhouse was great, but the food at the Italian (Milano) needs improvement. I had the fettuccine alfredo, which was a little watery, and my wife had the lasagna, which needed some sauce and cheese to go along with the meat in the inner layers. Those are the only a la carte restaurants restaurants that we ate at. The only negative amenity was the palapa system on the beach. Even though we were used to it from the last times we were there, having to get there very early in the morning to reserve one (I went at 6AM and even then only got a third row one at best before going back to bed and having breakfast), is a little inconvenient when you are supposed to be relaxing on vacation. We also saw many people who were very surprised, and disappointed, when they came down to the beach by 10AM to find nothing available. What doesn't help is when people come down early to reserve one, then don't show up again until after 11 or so."
