Surrounded by farmland, it provides a peaceful escape into the countryside, yet is only a one-mile walk from the coast path above Marros Sands and 3 miles from the sandy beach at Amroth.Traditionally constructed from solid round logs, which add warmth and natural texture to the interior, this cosy retreat is ideal for a relaxing break whatever the season. The cabin benefits from an eco-friendly biomass boiler supplying the central heating, while solar panels and 100% renewable electricity supplied by the solar panels and 100Green contribute to a more sustainable stay. Surplus solar electricity is also exported back to the grid, reflecting the owners’ commitment to greener energy at both Pwll Cabin.A sloping path leads up to the cabin, where its elevated position makes the most of the lovely rural views. Enjoy a leisurely coffee or glass of wine on the sheltered verandah as you look out over the trees and across the valley; the birdsong is glorious and wildlife lovers will be in their element.Step inside to the open-plan living space, with its compact yet well-equipped kitchen area, comfortable sofa and dining table. A double bedroom and modern shower room, complete with a fabulous walk-in rainfall shower, complete the accommodation. A sofa bed is available on request, offering flexibility for two guests who would prefer separate sleeping spaces. Steps from the verandah lead down to a lower gravelled patio area with picnic bench, a wonderfully sheltered spot for alfresco dining on a summer’s evening.The surrounding area abounds in footpaths and bridleways. Take the footpath running past the garden to enjoy circular countryside walks or head towards the coast, with the beaches of Morfa Bychan and Marros among the closest to explore.The Carmarthenshire Coastal Path is within easy reach, with stunning views along the way to the famous Pendine Sands, seven miles of golden beach renowned for its historic land-speed records. Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, is also well worth a visit. Alternatively, head west to Amroth, just 3 miles away, where the Pembrokeshire Coast Path begins, with its beachside cafés and pubs, continuing towards Wiseman’s Bridge, Saundersfoot and Tenby.
