"Room was fine,breakfast very good,afternoon tea nice idea,everywhere was clean.Our biggest complaint was the pool advertised was closed, staff said we should have called before we booked,the website didnt say it was closed until we point it out,then it changed to pool closed. There was no plug in bathroom sink and shower curtain rested on the top of shower tray which as curtain moved floor got soaked."

"I travel a lot and regularly rent from VRBO. This was by far the cleanest home that I have ever seen (cleaner than mine)! The house is spectacular - beautifully furnished, warm, cozy and secluded. Michael (the host) was extremely helpful and provided lots of great information. Given the secluded location, Michael thoughtfully suggested we stop for groceries on our way and he was right! I highly recommend this house and this Host. Both are better than the listing shows."

"We stayed here for one night for a graduation at UVA. The hotel is not too far a drive from campus, so it is a convenient location. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the AC worked great, so you could adjust the room temperature however you desired. The bathrooms were clean and had hygiene products you could use if you forgot to bring them. They have a small gym next to the pool that we did not use. We enjoyed being in the indoor pool for a bit; they have towels there that you can use. We were excited to use the hot tub, so we were bummed that it was not open. It seemed it was being cleaned out or something. The free breakfast was great, with delicious make-your-own waffles, fruits, and coffee. They had a wide variety of food items. Overall, our stay was pretty comfortable and excellent. The only downside was the unexpectedly non-functioning hot tub. Other than that, I highly recommend this place!"

"The location of the hotel is great! You can walk and see alot of what Charlottesville has to offer. Hotel is a bit dated and the beds in our room were extremely hard so not great for sleep."

"Rich in history, excellent wine tasting experience at adjoining Pippin Hill Farms and Winery. We enjoyed feeding the chickens! The concierge folks were so helpful and nice. Beakfast every morning was delicious!"
