A little gem on the beach

Castaway Cottage is a fabulous, homely and comfortable cottage literally a stone’s throw from a wonderful beach. It’s delightfully cared for, with great views from the sitting rooms and master bedroom. We felt immediately home! It has a well equipped kitchen and good bathroom which features an actual bath, which was great. Totally adored our stay and want to return.

Castaway cottage in Dover

Absolutely wonderful stay in this beautiful little town. The cottage is across the road from a lovely calm beach. The cottage is modern and has everything you need for a great time away!

Peaceful cottage

It’s often difficult to find quality accommodation that allows pets but this cottage was perfect for both us and our dogs. Directly across the road from the beach with a walking path along the shore that’s all dog friendly. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location. The cottage was very comfortable and we appreciated the modern renovations inside, especially the enormous bath. Having the choice of a wood fire or heat pump is great. Highly recommend.

The perfect Tasmanian getaway

Right by the beach, pet and family friendly with a fully enclosed yard, heated bathroom floor and spacious home, coffee machine and fully equipped kitchen, roaring fire and a/c - who could ask for more!

Best place ever!

Loved everything about Castaway cottage. Waves crashing on the beach just across the road, wood heater, heated bathroom floor, real coffee machine, beautifully finished, pet friendly, fully enclosed yard. Over of the best places I have stayed in. Highly recommend.

Favourite place

Another Perfect Stay

This is our second time and we cannot fault the property. We only wish we could visit more often and will definitely be back. The perfect location by the beach, wonderful views, a beautifully appointed cottage and a backyard our dogs adore.

Great place to explore Esperance Bay and surrounds.

We wanted a place to use our kayak to explore the bay and river. We found it at Castaway! Also the setup/yard was perfect for our dog.

Tranquil cottage

Enjoyed a break at the delightful, pet friendly Castaway Cottage - on the esplanade, near beautiful beaches, many birds, differing walking areas for our dog. Lovely treats provided thank you - fresh loaf, jams, coffee, apples and lemons.

Cosy & Quiet

Beautifully appointed house directly across from the beach. The wood heater kept us warm & cosy at night & the floor heating in the bathroom was a highlight for our 12 year old daughter. It had everything we wanted & more! Highly recommend.

Perfect house in a perfect location.

This has to be one of our most enjoyable weekends away. A beautifully maintained cottage with lights and heaters on greeting us on arrival. The setup is perfect for couples but plenty of room for a family and pets. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were excellent and the bed was just the way we like it. The cottage is perfectly located for views and for making the most of the adjacent beach. We could not fault our stay and look forward to returning.

Relaxing getaway

We had a lovely time. The weather wasn’t the best but the house was so cosy it was lovely to stay in. It was great that the house was pet friendly as the dogs enjoyed the place as well.

Fabulous cottage

Clean and modern cottage with everything you need for a great weekend away. Nice touch to have the heater going when we arrived so we came into such a cozy room.
