"The hotel is very beautiful. Our room, the Junior Suite, was nice and spacious. We had 1.5 baths, which was very convenient. A nice sitting area and deck overlooking the pool area. However, the floor of the hotel was very dirty. The bottom of our socks/feet were nasty. And the closet shelves left the clothes we put away dusty. Clearly hadn't been dusted in a while. No microwave in the room. The pool area is gorgeous. It would be nice if they made it adult only after say .... 8:00? It's open until 10, which is great. But listening to screaming children until 10 p.m. is annoying, when you just want to enjoy your patio area. We wanted to use the hot tubs, but not when they're full of screaming kids. I never really understand why hotels advertise themselves as luxury, tout the restaurants and spa. And yet, fully cater to families and parents who don't care that their children are loud and ill-behaved. Shower head in shower needed to be replaced. We were here over Memorial Day weekend. It was a bummer that the hotel bar was closed on Memorial Day. Staff was friendly. An hour after we checked in, there were four cop cars and a dead body in front of the hotel. Not sure what that was all about."
