"We stayed here for two nights and we were astounded how good the hotel was for the price that we paid. The room was ample size, spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The food (both breakfast and dinner) were excellent and great value for money. We have already booked to return next year. "The spa facilities were really great and created a great opportunity for the family to spend time together. Really appreciated the hotel faciltating our family of 4 to stay in a junior suite even though we were 4. The room was clean and spacious and was a real break for us! Only thing was breakfast wasa bit expensive for us as it the resaurant seemed to be managed separately. All in all really lovely!"

"Nice comfortable hotel an easy walking distance from everything in Colchester. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good quality. I liked the fact that breakfast is 'a la carte', as that reduces wastage. Cleanliness is good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!"
