Very clean, well equipped and comfortable retreat. The perfect location to travel to nearby trails and towns and the perfect place to come back to relax by the river with a fire and grill. Absolutely recommended.
Absolutely loved celebrating our 40th Anniversary here at this beautiful cabin. Loved the the double wood rocker right on Fightingtown Creek. Got to see a Great Blue Heron, a friendly Cardinal that visited daily, and a few chipmunks. The cabin had everything you could need for your stay. A great fireplace and comfortable beds. And a firepit to enjoy the beautiful peaceful evenings. Very clean and lots of thoughtful touches that made this a memorable weekend. Would definitely return. A great area with lots to do.
This home is the best equipped home we've ever stayed in. You lack for nothing here. Creek is awesome, very relaxing to sit out on the screen porch in the evening and listen to the sound. We will definitely return.
This cabin is exceptional in every way! No detail was overlooked to ensure our comfort, aesthetic experience and beyond. The cabin had soft music playing, beautiful lighting and even smelled like a relaxing spa. Quality clearly matters to these cabin owners with lovely furnishings and thoughtful appointments.
We loved every moment and look forward to our next visit!
This property was amazing in every way. I have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this was one of the cleanest properties I have stayed at.
In addition to the amazing properties, the house and accommodations left us wanting for nothing, everything was so well thought out and it was truly a cabin "above the rest."
If you are traveling to the area, and have a vehicle that can handle very rural roads, do not hesitate to book this property!
First, let me tell you that I have been around the world traveling to many different places and staying in a plethora of places. This host is by far the best I have seen in terms of attention to detail and making sure that we had everything we needed in place down to complementary robes and slippers. The towels were nice and soft. This may not sound like a big deal but the fact that they provide quality toilet paper and papertowls says a lot about wanting to make sure their guest have the best. They even had a treat waiting for my dog which made my heart very happy. Trust me when I say they thought of everything down to providing black washcloths and make up remover wipes for women with make up.
Second, The cabin itself was very welcoming. It was clean and cozy. Everything was comfortable, even the beds.
Last, But certainly not least is that rushing water creek that runs along the back of the cabin. That by far was my favorite feature because I am a water baby. It was great for meditation and simply just appreciating the beauty of nature right there. It really did feel like heaven on earth!!
The only thing that could possibly make this cabin even better would be a Jacuzzi somewhere facing that river, however that’s certainly not a deal breaker. I will be back!!
What a wonderful experience. The cabin was on such an amazing piece of the creek. The water noise was so relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed it thoroughly and look forward to visiting again. The host thought of everything that would make the experience better. Thoughtful touches throughout.
Cozy, clean cabin. Relaxing sounds of the water, remote, but within a short drive to hiking, horseback riding, apple picking, etc. The roads are good enough to travel on safely in a sedan. Only thing missing was a hot tub.

Disliked: Location
Beautiful cabin and breathtaking stream.
Getting to this cabin is stressful and scary. Need to work on their directions. This cabin is a beautiful and the stream is what dreams are made of.
Loved this location under tall greenery and on the creek at the point of a small rapids. (Daughters tubed from the little bridge and down to the cabin through these small rapids. They loved that. Yes there are stair steps to get down to it but not a huge amount. Used the fire pit by the creek multiple times. I rated the cleanliness at 4 due to some areas (some walls) and items (textiles) that could use a cleaning. (Not a deal breaker.). My daughters and I had a wonderful stay.
