"Truly amazing unconventional wooden cabin! We, a group of 8 stayed comfortably in the estate. "Property was excellent. Spacious in and out, nice big space for outdoor activities. Happy Hour on deck by the river every night. Fire pits and wood available. We enjoyed little Grand Canyon and Kinzua Bridge. Covered wagon ride thru bottom of canyon was good for us old people, as was the hot tub. Wonderful stay in upper PA. Thank you. "

"Everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stick for all your cooking needs. Because of the area the house is in it would be advisable to stay in and cook your dinner meals. We spent all three nights with a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed our home cooked dinner. The owner has thought of everything that you will need for your stay. Communication with the owner before arriving and during our stay was excellent. We will book this cabin for any future visits to this area. "

"I can’t recommend Black Bear Lodge highly enough. It’s a true gem—clean, cozy, spacious, secluded, beautiful views, and a short drive from the PA Grand Canyon. We loved getting to sip coffee on the back patio in the morning while listening to the birds and creek, go explore nature in the nearby parks during the day, and return “home” to relax in the hot tub in the evening. Photos often oversell a property, but the pics of the lodge truly don’t do it justice. Just perfect for a mountain getaway. Thanks for sharing this lovely place with us!"

"Plenty of space for everyone. Home had everything we needed...large well-equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms with plush towels, and even a first aid kit. We did find the concrete floors to be slippery and cold and were surprised that there were other homes on the property."

"We just got back from a wonderful 3 night stay here. The place was exactly as described, and the hosts were extremely helpful with all the info they provided. We never needed to reach out to ask any questions. We went for a stargazing trip in mid October and got lucky…one night was clear enough to enjoy the view from property. I’m sure it’s a little better in the park, but being from the city, we absolutely loved it and were impressed enough with what we could see right from the house. The other two cloudy days were spent using the pool table and jukebox, bbqing on the grill, enjoying the pellet stove, and playing boardgames around the table so we could see the gorgeous views right out the window.
