"We had an excellent stay at this B&B and would definitely recommend it and go back. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and a really good size. The shower was small but it had to be to fit it in! (Room 5) The shower was very hit and miss temperature wise but we told Linda(? - the owner) when we left and she was going to get it sorted. Make sure when you park that you drive in forward and reverse out. The parking is tight, but works! Lovely location and so quiet!"

"Excellent place to explore the local area. Rooms nice and clean and well equipped. Bedrooms were a lovely size, bright and airy.Close to local amenities. We would recommend the local bakery, particulalry the Uglibuns and we had a great meal at the London Inn. "

"We had a wonderful stay at The Ness. The location is beautiful with amazing views! All staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and highly enjoyed by my two young sons. "The cottage was absolutely spotless and in perfect state of repair. Neil was really nice, popped in to see us and make sure we had everythign and messaged to see if we needed anything (which we didn't!) He offered a later checkout which was especially nice. We had a really relaxing stay, lovely walks from the house to Maidencombe beach (very friendly cafe owners and delicious coffe and healthy cookies) and on Dartmoor. "

"A quaint and cosy holiday home. With a lovely 1st floor living space. An easy walk to nice pubs and restaurant. And a short walk to the smugglers tunnels to take you down to a small cove/beach. Lots of local places to explore and visit only a short drive away. The house on the whole was well stocked with everything you need. Apart from upon arriving 30 mins before our online shopping delivery was due (which had toliet roll included) we found there was no toliet roll left at all- not even half a roll.But the main issue we had with this stay was parking is a nightmare. Yes there is technically on street parking around the green outside but this was impossible to find a free space and also VERY tight to park and drive around (we are glad we took our old car and not our new car due to bumps and scraps as its that tight!) There are paid car parks within walking distance (5-10 mins away)- just not that easy with young children whom fell sleep in the car after busy days out.Another couple of safety issues in relation to young children- the upper floor living space has open stairs with a sofa under it- a child climbing/balancing issue. And also blinds with low windows and hence low lying blind cords which were did not have any safety clips on were also a hazard for children. "

"A really excellent stay in a super cottage. Simply all the previous reviews are spot-on. As soon as you open the door and step in, you feel at home. Downstairs is a good kitchen with breakfast table and a large comfortable bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet. Lovely to get a bottle and snacks on arrival a nice touch. The large living area is upstairs with a dining table and amazingly comfortable chair and sofa. Wi-fi worked well and and good size TV although couldn’t always get signal for regular channels but streaming was fine. Beware the sloping ceiling that my head met a few times! Radiators kept the house really warm too. Lovely village as well Church House pub less than 100 yards away with excellent food, beer, atmosphere and service. Sad we only went for one meal. Opposite is a friendly community shop open 7 days a week, nearest supermarkets in Teignmouth or Newton Abbot. Finally, great to meet lovely hosts Maddy and Godfrey and appreciated their suggestions for trips. Many thanks. Couldn’t fault anything, highly recommend and hope to visit again. "

"Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was well cooked and reasonable in price. Parking was safe and easy and th egrounds, which lead to a park and the beach are wonderful. Our dog was welcome with us and well looked after in the hotel - much more so than some 'dog friendly' hotels."

"Amazing apartment with epic, all aspect views. Clean and well maintained and the lady managing the cleaning was lovely. Only negative was it was it was very draughty in the bedroom (but it was extremely windy)."
