The room looked unclean and neglected. Sofa had marks, shower floor was dirty and there was no soap/shower gel in the dispensers as well as the dispensers being broken. We had to get someone to replace these. The bathroom smelt of bad drains. The whole room needed an update unfortunately would not stay again.

What a shame. It is a great location, just inside the city walls. Chester is small, and the hotel was convenient for everything. The property has been updated with fairly recent fixtures and fittings. But the cleanliness more than offset these pluses. On first entering the room, we looked around, went to the bathroom, and raised the toilet seat. OMG, there was brown stuff inside. Now concerned, we looked around the room and saw a big cobweb in a corner where the clothes cupboard meets the room wall. I was curious why the spider chose that spot. The cupboard was taller than most people, so I ran my finger along the top of the cupboard near the cobweb and a cloud of dust blew up. I wanted to check out at this point, but my wife was tired and could not face it. So I got some disinfectant wipes from the car and started wiping. The kitchen area was clean but the were many small hairs on the bathroom floor. The rest of our stay was uneventful.

Andrea on reception was amazing could not have been more helpful. We stayed in the Aintree Suite the amenities were excellent. Efficient AC well equipped kitchen comfy bed and excellent power shower. The location was perfect we would highly recommend Roomzzz at Chester

A great place to stay for the racing

Booked 1 night for a business stop over in the area . Parking is charged by an app and was £15 for 24 hours. The check in was seamless and very efficient .I was given my key to the Goodwood suite . There was a lounge kitchen diner . The kitchen had all the amenities you would need a hob a dual power microwave a fridge and dishwasher. The bedroom also had a TV . And the bathroom was well equipped with a powerful rain shower. The main event was the views . You are only 100 metres from Chester racecourse . I would definitely return
