Thapae Loft was the perfect hotel for me due to its location. The hotel is tucked away down an alley away from the busy Old Chiang Mai area. The room was spacious with complimentary snacks and water. The front desk personnel were very welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Pleasant stay

We had a lovely stay. Our view was rubbish but we were out most of the time anyway. We didn't iin the pool as there was no sunshine. Not enough plug sockets/too close together. Room was adequate in size. Used slippers.

Staff service was excellent. Sang, especially helped me to make my trip organized which allowed me visit several historical sites and national park in the area. This property is centrally located and walking distance to two famous temples, and with several eateries in the neighborhood. I recommend Chada vegetarian restaurant to be the best on that street!

I like the location because there a small strip mall up the block with different food options; a popular pho place and very unrated ramen restaurant. There is a cat cafe across the street and a nice Buddhist temple on the same block. The hotel rooms are spacious and they have a nice decor. I wish that a breakfast option was offered but there are food option nearby. Don't ask the hotel to book a cab for you because I suspect they pad the bill in their favor, which is my only real complaint.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at during our 28 day trip in Thailand. Very friendly staff, nice welcoming check in (felt very special for our anniversary), comfortable bed, good A/C. Cool pool area, cute little bar/patio area where you could buy beer, and felt safe at night with a security guard at the entrance. Walking distance less than 10 minutes to convenience stores and restaurants. Even a departure gift upon checkout. We loved it. They deserve a higher rating!!!

Great place to stay!

Super friendly staff. Very helpful, round the clock. Rooms were clean and well maintained. AC worked very well, WiFi was good. I didn’t use the pool but it looked very clean. Laundry service for an additional fee was very useful and prompt. The front desk people were especially nice. Location is great. Right in the old city. Walking distance to lots of activities.

Property is modern industrial style. Very clean, private, quiet, nice staff. Location is great for night markets and easy walking all around old town. Hotel is not visible from road, but accessible by a short, well lighted alley/driveway. Our taxi from airport had difficulty finding the hotel but all other drivers had no problem. They pick you up at street. No restaurant onsite, though, finding food in Thailand is not a problem.

The hotel itself is nice, but as a previous reviewer noted over six months ago, there is a strong unpleasant smell from the drains in the ground floor (room 103). It was quite unbearable at times. The industrial chic of the room is pretty cool until you are kept awake by the dripping sounds from the plethora of pipes. The "hot" water was lukewarm at the best of times. A lot of room for improvement. The staff are all lovely.

I am really hard to please so take this review seriously, because I won’t lead you wrong. The room, on the non construction side was great in every way, spacious, great air conditioning, and we splurged $27 extra per night for the “family room”. We just made it our luggage room. Literally no complaints, all good. Great location close to everything w easy in and out access. DO NOT TAKE A ROOM FACING YHE CONSTRUCTION. It is relentless and noisy. Other than this, this lil hotel as cute, and perfect in every way. RGS

I have stayed two weeks at this property and overall enjoyed it. Pros : Lovely staff, both front desk and room cleaning Night time concierge ( great and funny guy) Great location, walking distance from everything significant, like the main markets Cons: Polished concrete as flooring in rooms ( slipping hazard) Swimming pool not heated and not very well cleaned No wardrobe in rooms ( but they provided heaps of spare hangers) Thin walls between rooms, you hear everything your neighbor is doing.
