"Honestly, for the price I thought a continental breakfast would have been nice. A microwave in the room? Hot tea? The only amenity they really bragged about was free wifi and that was down the entire weekend. That being said, beautiful hotel and great location! We enjoyed our stay very much!"

"I loved that this hotel had a bridge that connected it to the Wintrust Arena in which is where we were going for our event. The location was awesome because it was literally across the street if you choose to walk outside"

"The hotel room was decent overall, though we had some concerns with cleanliness. The hotel was also located in a convenient area, and Gino’s Bagels quickly became a staple for our mornings. Pros: Early check-in was accommodated after our flight was rescheduled. Staff were very friendly and offered helpful restaurant recommendations. Complimentary lemon water, tea, and coffee were available in the mornings. Elevators were fast with little-to-no wait times. Cons: The room felt small for two people, especially for working, with only one desk/chair and one armchair. The blue walls and the hallway lighting made the room feel dim. The light was also positioned in a way that it shined uncomfortably toward the bed. We had concerns with cleanliness, including an open condom wrapper between the bed and nightstand, stains on the bedsheets, and residue in the trash bins. We experienced some skin irritation while sleeping, possibly due to the laundry detergent used. This was resolved when sleeping without any exposed skin."

"This hotel definitely shows it age. The common areas are generally well maintained and look dated but extravagant. The room we were in had a good view of the city and the location was perfect for what we were there for. While we paid $140+ per night, this hotel reminds me of those seedy little $30/night motels. It was listed at a much cheaper rate (deceptive advertising that is common these days). --THE BAD-- - The floor while it looked clean, left socks and feet dirty. - The AC unit did not work. While it blew air (even when off) it was not cold or hot, as such I would not recommend this hotel for a summer or winter stay, we were boiling with the windows open a crack (security windows on the 7th floor). - Toilet ran and would loudly refill every couple minutes. Also did not flush properly. - broken floor tiles in the bathroom - Water would only get slightly warm IF you left it run for 5-10 minutes first. Hope you like cold showers. - Easy to get lost in this massive old building with many doors and elevators leading to only a select area. --THE GOOD-- - Location was perfect for us, right off of Michigan Ave and a few blocks from the bean as well as the location we were headed to. - The bed, while small was firm, comfortable and felt newer? The pillows were great! - Elevator, while older than dirt (peeling wallpaper) was fast, shook like crazy but fast. - Other than the noise from the open windows (trains constantly going by), it was quiet at appropriate times."

"The accommodation was very good. Most staff were friendly, just the check in process was annoying because they charge a lot of money if you are there early (and more to have a late check out). So be aware and plan ahead. Also the person at check in told us we had to use the computer on the other side of the lobby rather than just helping us… and didn’t tell us there was a fee so we had to check in multiple times before we could actually get our room. Besides that everything was clean, great location, security staff were very nice. "

"Why stay in a lonely one-room high-priced hotel when u can stay here! Make friends, have 24 hour access to huge well maintained common area: fully stocked commercial kitchen, pool tables, ping pong, the softest, cushiest chairs that you just fall into, be invited to daily events. Such a walkable area, so many eateries, bars, and shopping, steps from public transportation. I stayed here one night for convenience sake, I'm back for a second stay, have become a member, and booked in several other cities on my route. I feel so safe and welcome here. Please, come home to HI Chicago."
