"The hotel is in a great location in Chicago. It is a massive big hotel. A bit outdated but room was clean and bed was very comfortable. For some reason it was not cleaned or serviced every day. Overall, had a good stay."

"I arrived in Chicago around 8 in the morning. I went straight to the hostel, as they were able to take my bags to store them before check in as I explored the city. If I needed something from my bags they didnt hesitate to let me access them before checking in. The lady at the front gave me a temp key for their guest lounge if i wanted to hangout before check in. The lounge is amazing. Dining room is beautiful. Commercial group kitchen is great. Really homing to see other guest all making their foods in the morning. As of location, I'd say its perfect for city exploration, pretty central right in downtown. The staff were very nice and helpful, and they host group activities and tours etc. to sign up for free as a guest which are actually really cool. At night after dark the lounge is a cool hangout. Really feels like a loving place. I had no bad experiences. So many different ethnicities of people stay here and its really a cool thing. I love meeting new people and the people that I met here from all over the world were nice. It was my first stay in a hostel and I would definitely do it again. Im already planning to come back. Everything this hostel has to offer for this price, you can't beat it. 10/10 would recommend"

"The hotel is a bit run down, but my room was very clean. The breakfast was good, although it is not included, and for some reason I thought it was. The receptionist was amazing. She was very kind and allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. The location is also excellent. I’m giving 4 stars because, as a female solo traveler, I did not feel completely safe. The reception desk is not close to the entrance. There is one person near the entrance, but if he is busy, he may not be able to see everyone coming in and out. The hallways are long, and I did not notice much visible surveillance or security. Overall, I had a good stay, but I think the hotel could improve safety and security for guests."

"The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I prefer rooms without carpeting as carpets can get pretty nasty but these rooms are carpeted and appear clean but dated. The staff was helpful and friendly and assisted me with local restaurant and public transportation suggestions. There is no food served at this hotel but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby and a Starbucks next door. Overall, I would stay here again."
