The rooms and property are dated. But the room was very spacious and bed was comfortable. Had to pay $8 a night for parking when the parking lot is just an empty parking lot not very well maintained. The pool was small but there was caution tape up for something near it, I didn’t go out there just saw the caution tape up. The staff was kind at check-in. I probably won’t stay here again, unless it was about $75 cheaper per night.

The location was what attracted me. I needed something close to the Drury Lane Theater venue. The hotel was great, rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were friendly. Only warning if you uber to the hotel- there are two with very close names. You want the Oakbrook suites and NOT the oakbrook resort. Both owned by Hilton and caused confusion. I ended up having to take two uber rides because I wasn’t paying attention.

The Hilton Suites Chicago/Oak Brook is an older property that desperately needs TLC. While I was told renovations are coming soon, that unfortunately is of no help to current guests. The Cons: DEFERRED MAINTENANCE: The furniture and carpeting throughout are noticeably dated. OPERATIONAL ISSUES: During my stay, cable TV service was spotty, and only one elevator was functional for the entire 10-story building. PARKING: Parking can be a struggle if you arrive late at night or during events at the adjacent Drury Lane Center, as the parking lot is shared. BREAKFAST: Availabe each morning in the restaurant but it is pricey at $20 per person / $12 for kids. The Pros: OUTSTANDING SERVICE: The front desk and hotel staff were excellent across the board, and check-in was seamless. PROFILE REQUEST HONORED: They actually paid attention to the high-floor request in my Hilton profile and placed me on the 10th floor—a rare and much-appreciated touch that most properties overlook. CLEANLINESS: The room itself was very clean. ATMOSPHERE: All guest rooms open onto a large, striking atrium with fountains and a lobby bar/restaurant. Additional conveniences include a snack/sundries market, a pool, a gym, and a small business center. This property has real potential given its features and wonderful team. I hope Hilton follows through on giving it the comprehensive update it needs.
