Staff was courteous & helpful. Room very clean. Bed very firm mattress. Only amenities was microwave, small fridge, shampoo & bath soap in shower. And only 1 1/2 mile from Loyola Hospital that I came to for surgery. No frills but very good on the basic needs. I’d return again if needed.

Such an interesting place. I'll give it 3 stars because our stay was good overall, and it was conveniently located near the freeway. Rough neighborhood though and lots of activity at night. Could hear people screaming and banging on doors. Definitely seemed like the type of place where rooms are being rented by the hour too. Drive four minutes any direction? Much nicer neighborhoods. Just a small pocket of sketch.

Economical weekend getaway

Hotel served its purpose for a music festival weekend. Bed was comfy. Fridge and microwave worked. Shower water was hot, wifi worked. Housekeepers and front desk were friendly.

The place was clean and the staff was nice, but the room was just more awkward than other rooms. The lights were harshly bright, there were no lamps, there was a huge mirror facing the bed, the night stands were very far from the bed, and the other hotel guests were loud and yelling/talking late into the night. The traffic noise was also quite loud. This isn’t the hotels fault, but I wouldn’t pick the location again due to the area.

Good for a bargain hotel

I was worried but knew we just needed a place to pass out on NYE. Pleasantly surprised that the room was clean and everything worked! Parking is free. Check in was easy. It’s bare bones, nothing fancy. But it’s exactly what we needed and we felt safe!

The room was clean. The place is really run down and needs a serious update. The beds were hard, the pillows were thin. The price was cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. Lots of yelling outside. Don't know if it was other guests or what. I didn't go out to look and see. Would look for something closer to the L train to use their public transportation system. I didn't know about it befroehand.
