Fairytale cottage in Chickamauga, GA

This beautiful, recently renovated, fairy-tale cottage is located in Chickamauga, GA, near the National Battlefield and convenient to Chattanooga, TN. Located in a charming small town, with boutique shops and several great places to eat, it is also only 12 miles (or 25 minutes) to downtown Chattanooga, where you can enjoy many family/tourist activities (including Rock City and Ruby Falls!) and FABULOUS restaurants! The cottage can sleep several, and is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The space

This is truly a storybook/fairy-tale cottage and decorated with loving attention to detail! It even has a spinning wheel!
It has a small kitchen, small dining area , 2 nice decks and a front porch, and a campfire pit . It has a bedroom downstairs with a full bed, a fold out bed in the, living room with flat screen tv w/cable, luxurious bathroom with vintage claw-foot tub and separate shower, upstairs has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a 1/2 bath across the hall from the another bedroom that has 2 full-size , built in captain beds. The stairs going upstairs are a bit steep, but good handrails and a gate (that latches) at the top.

If the barn isn't occupied/rented, you are welcome to walk down to the renovated, event barn and visit the goats and miniature horse.

Interaction with guests

Someone from our family is always around our 40 acre farm adjacent to the cottage property. We are all very happy to have guests in the cottage - please let us know if you have any questions or if we can help you in any way!

Other things to note

The fairy tale cottage is incredibly special! We put precious items inside to share with you during your stay and ask that you are careful with all of the treasures. We do welcome well-behaved children and are so glad for them to visit this magical place, and they LOVE the cottage, but be aware there are items that are very tempting to little ones that aren’t to be played with, so you may have to move some things out of harm’s way if needed! The cottage has multiple levels and also has a fairly steep set of stairs – so is not be ideal for babies or busy toddlers: younger guests will need help and a close eye!

Fairy Tale Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage. It was cozy and had everything we needed. The area was very peaceful, but we were still close to places to eat and things to do.

Perfect Charming Weekend

This property even just for two adults was so perfect! We brought a lot of items with us for the kitchen that we didn’t even need to use because they had everything we could think of! The decorations were so cute and it was just so fun to be in! We absolutely will be coming back!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Fairy Tale Cottage. Magic in every room. Spent an hour just exploring the cottage. We also loved feeding the goats and miniature horse on property. Kristi was a very responsive host and made sure our stay was perfect.

Fairy tale cottage amazing!

We only stayed one night but the place was so charming! All the fairy tale touches were magical. The beds were comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed. The property it is on is beautiful also with other themed cottages. The host was very responsive . Definitely want to come back!

We had a wonderful time. Everything was lovely, with new fun things to discover pretty much everywhere. The cottage managed to be fun and interesting without being overwhelming or hard to deal with. We loved it and would love to stay in one of the other cottages sometime soon!

The property was extremely clean and Kristi was a wonderful host. My friends and I had a wonderful time here. I would highly recommend it to families with children as the host has taken a lot of trouble to make the place engaging for all ages. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity for it arises in the future!

Check-in and check-out were quick and simple. The kitchen and cooking utensils were a great addition and very helpful for us! The house was clean and had lots of sleeping areas for our group! However, some lights wouldn't turn on, and it was very cold as we weren't allowed to turn the AC up. Those are very minor things, and we overall enjoyed our stay!

Well thought out, well executed in all the parts of the house, looking like different fairytales. We have a lot of fun with the scavenger hunts, visiting the gift shop and seeing the other properties. The games and toys available along with the dress up stuff. Note that one of the upstairs beds does squeak, may be great for some people, but not great for people with sensory issues or autism. Over all our stay was magical!

We rented this cottage for my daughter’s 15th bday. I brought her and her two best friends (and a friend for me) and to say we had a blast would be an understatement. The kids are begging to go back.

Get away with the Grandkids

This is a cute cozy cabin that we enjoyed. The host has an eye for decorating. We enjoyed the grounds too. They have some goats and a small horse. The little "store" on the property was nice too. It is obvious that the host has thought of everything to make your stay great. The only comment I would add was that the kitchen had limited cookware and the kitchen table only had three chairs. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay.

Whimsical and Fun

This was a cute little cottage! Very fun and whimsical. The stairs are steep and i thought i was going to slip on them, but I managed. The beds were all very comfortable! And the atmosphere if the whole property was peaceful.

Fairytale Vacation

This was the perfect place for our fairy tale vacation! It was so cute and unique, the attention to detail was superb! Everything was clean and I loved that it didn’t have a strong smell of air freshener as an sensitive to air freshener and perfumes. Kristi was easy to get in touch with and very pleasant. The whole property was also amazing, we can’t wait to experience the other rentals!!

Wonderful

As described. Very cute and fun. Beds were comfortable. All things were small...tea cups, bowls and plates. The grounds are fun. We enjoyed feeding the pygmy goats and miniature horse. The area was convenient to many places we visited. We would totally go again to visit another house!

Property was as described. It was very unique. It had a definite hobbit vibe to it. Very cute. We were only there for one night and ate out. Kitchen seemed to have what was needed. The fridge is not full size. Beds were comfortable. Communication with host was very good. Cottage was very cute and was very well decorated and taken care of. Would stay again if in the area.

The property owners have mastered blending the modern amenities we are all accustomed to with the most authentic fairytale ambiance we could imagine. We won't dare diminish your experience with too many details, but I am confident that a stay here will linger in your memories with a nolstagia that is unmatched by other adventures. Such a charming place! We enjoyed our weekend there. The kitchen isn’t a full size, and the cooking pans were limited, but it was a lovely house and farm area! We loved walking the property and exploring!

My wife and I are senior citizens and this cute cottage did not have some of the amenities that we’ve had at other VRBO places we’ve stayed but we were there to visit our daughter and grandson. We were there for a short stay and this was nearby and at a reasonable price. No complaints
