"Motto gets so many things right. The location is perfect — close to Times Square and so much of Midtown, which made it incredibly easy to use as a base, head out for a few hours, and come back to reset before going out again.
What I loved most was how intentional the whole hotel feels. The lobby, seating areas and The Alderman bar are beautifully planned, and there is an immediate sense of calm when you step inside — yet the moment you walk out, you are right back in the energy of New York.
The room itself is compact but very cleverly designed, calming and extremely functional. Every bit of space feels considered rather than cramped. I also really appreciated how easy and comfortable the lobby was for a drink or a quick pause between plans.
For a Midtown stay, especially if the priority is location, thoughtful design and having a genuinely pleasant place to return to throughout the day, this is a fantastic base. I would happily stay again."
