"To be clear, this is a hostel not a hotel. This means a very small room at a very low price. Compared to the other hostels in this NYC location, this is one of the better properties. It’s clean, well maintained, and friendly staff (when you can find them at the front desk which is not always a certainty). If you are a light sleeper, this probably won’t be for you. You will hear the occasional police siren, and a talkative neighbor in an adjacent room if you are unlucky enough to get someone like that next to you. Notwithstanding these issues, the price of the room makes it worth it. You have the East Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, and SoHo all within walking distance. The best parts of Manhattan including Broadway, Central Park, Times Square, and Museum Mile are all within easy reach using subway or cab. A Whole Foods is conveniently close as well. As for sleeping accommodations, the bed is small, but I’m 6’ 1” and it fit me fine. Again, for the low price of the room, this was not much of a sacrifice."
