We stayed at the Stottsville Inn while visiting the area for a funeral, and it ended up being such a warm and comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. The atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms aren’t modern, but that’s honestly part of the charm. It feels homey and welcoming rather than like a typical hotel, and the mattress in our room was extremely comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and made us feel at home. One thing that may be helpful for first-time guests: there isn’t a separate hotel check-in desk. Just let the hostess in the restaurant know you’re checking into the inn. You’ll get an actual room key—which I personally loved—and the stairs to the guest rooms are located off the hallway by the bar. At night, doors close and lock off the restaurant areas while still allowing inn guests access to the front entrance, so it feels very secure and private once everything settles down. The restaurant itself is absolutely worth visiting. The food was superb, the bar was great, and inn guests receive 10% off at the restaurant. Both nights we stayed there was live music, which added so much to the atmosphere. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you’re someone who goes to bed early, you can hear some of the restaurant and bar activity upstairs until after the restaurant closes around 10 p.m. It didn’t bother us, but it’s worth knowing. In the morning, an employee sets up a simple little breakfast area with coffee, orange juice, melon, bagels and fres

Nice people, clean room. But no cups and no shampoo no body wash, nothing in the room. I have to use water bottle to fill water for tooth cleaning. Very simple breakfast as well. Very uncomfortable for checking in process, taking away your ID and credit card to upstairs. Sorry for this message but it is true.

The room was very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. One thing missing was an ice machine but they were willing to provide me with ice if I asked the bar.

My wife and I spent a very nice evening at the Stottsville Inn. They have an excellent staff that makes sure you have a wonderful stay. They have an inviting bar with interesting cocktails. I can confidently recommend a visit to the Inn for dinner and drinks or a charming place to spend the night!

We had booked for two nights and we left after one night. It is apparent that the Inn operates primarily as a bar and restaurant and books rooms as a side hustle. We had to check in to our room via the bar tender because there is no front desk. The room itself reaked of a mold smell. We stayed on the third floor, but between the noise from the bar until almost 1 am and the portable A/C unit rattling throughout the night we didn’t get any sleep. The shampoo/conditioner vial contents barely covered my hair. The room did not include a phone so we could not get any assistance for replenishing the meager amenities at the non existent front desk. Therefore we opted to go to another Inn elsewhere the next night rather than stay another night at this way below par establishment. Don’t stay here— drive on!!!

The hotel has a restaurant and bar in the building which is very convenient. Plenty of parking. The hotel is an old building that is showing some wear and tear. Part of the charm. So if you are looking for something more modern where all the finishing touches are pristine, this is not the place. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great one night stop while visiting family.

What a quaint beautiful inn! The staff was helpful from the second we walked in. Check in and checkout was a breeze. Convenient having a bar with happy hour downstairs with a large craft beer selection! Let's not forget the the restaurant with a great menu for dinner, the salmon and martini flight was incredible! The negatives, hard bed, no microwaves, refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer, small sitting table or tissues in the rooms. Breakfast was lacking just a plate with a bagel and orange slices, coffee was delicious though. Still worth the stay! Would definitely come back again!

We really enoyed our stay here. Just one night but was close to where we needed to go. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. The breakfast to me was lacking. It was bagels, and fruit salad, coffee and orange juice. I think they could have added a loaf of bread and maybe some yogurts or croissants/pastries. Even a box of cereal would have been welcomed.

Built in 1858. It is not a modern hotel. It has charm, history, quirks and a great bar/restaurant.

The charm & character were unbeatable. The restaurant/tavern was excellent. The food was great & the bar caries a good selection of alcohol. I prefer a place like this over a traditional hotel, because of the history & attention of the staff.

Lovely property in general. We have stayed here before and had a great room. This stay our room was not as well maintained, particularly the bathroom. On the plus side it was very clean, but some of the fixtures need to be replaced and the bathroom door needs WD-40.

Great experience. Historic like hotel. Will book again. Clean room and bathroom was renovated. Friendly staff. Helped me to bring my bag up stairs. I had dinner at the restaurant with live music. Delicious food and a taste of American culture through the locals and their music. Lovely evening! The ride from Longwood Gardens to the hotel is gorgeous and takes about half hour.
